2013 lx 570 intermittent dying and electrical shut off?

Yesterday my wife called and said the lx dash and touchscreen shut down while driving, then engine shut down when she was coming to a stop. Restarted fine but happened again this morning. i am out of town so cannot look at it immediately. Anyone have this happen?

I'd check connections at the battery, especially in regard to corrosion of terminals.

Do you have Slee battery terminals installed?

No slee and battery terminals are tight according to neighbor.

Remove and reseat the battery terminals.
Have the alternator tested

If the battery is the original, have your wife go the the Lexus or Toyota dealer and have them clean the terminals and install a Trustart battery. Also have them check and clean the ground connection from the battery to the frame next to the battery. That will likely fix the problem and if not, at least you'll have a new battery and know that the easiest and more likely problem has been eliminated.

I am NOT suggesting this is your issue, but I had something similar happen on my 2013 Land Cruiser and after a lot of troubleshooting the root cause ended up being the fuel pump ECU.

Got a report from the Toyota dealership. Said they can see the faults, had a drop in voltage and a rough idle then engine shut down. Can’t trace it down to what caused it. going to try to drop it off a the Lexus dealership when I get back.

Have them check the ground straps.

Battery negative terminal to fender. Major ground straps tying motor and transmission to chassis.

I'm having exact same issue on 2013 Lexus LX570. Wife was driving and seem to intermittently lose power to dash (flashing off/on). Then shut down completely during quick test drive afterwards. It was able to get jumped but showing signs of dropping voltage (& intermittent power loss). Curious what the fix was?

Ended up changing the alternator and battery, fixed the issue.
