I agree. Sometimes these issues are pretty subjective. It might be worthwhile to see if you can find a 13-15 LX to test drive, and also if there is a MUD member who you would be willing to let drive yours.

Aside from that, you may want to find a good suspension shop and see what they say. I find that the guys who are used to fine-tuning suspensions have a better feel for how things should be working and might do a better job of diagnosing in real time.
I've ordered a car mount for my gopro to see if I can see anything on video happening with any of the wheels, I think the idea on the BFG tires was to have more meat between the wheels and road but that apparently isn't the crux of the problem. If anyone is in my general area (pensacola, FL) I'm more than happy to bring it to them, and I'll research local suspension shops to see if anyone is highly recommended in my area. I may take it to a few other local shops and see if anyone can either diagnose or describe the issue better than I have been able to so far.

I’ve been following this thread and have been wondering if it’s indeed the tires, as in tire size/aspect ratio. Although a tall order, would be great if you had a friend with a Land Cruiser that would be willing to swap OEM wheels with you temporarily. By noticing any change on your ride, could help eliminate many of the other suggested or guessed at h/w causes.

Until earlier this year, my daily driver, since 2006, was a 2003 LC with 18” wheels. I’m happy with my new-to-me LX but it definitely sends a jolt when the wheels encounter a pothole or other “road anomaly”. Later this year I’ll be mounting some 18” Michelin’s on some rims I got off of eBay. They are off of a 2020 LC. Am looking forward to it. Yup, I’m a wimp :)

Cheers,
John
I have 18"s on my chrysler I'll check if they're compatible.
Edit: Nope they're not.

Someone pointed me to vibration/shudder on acceleration and it sounds very similar to my problem (the universal joint) so I'm taking it to a very good local driveline shop on Monday. I'll update if he finds anything.

Lexus, tire shop and even the driveline shop missed it at first but I was able to point out that the front u joint of the rear driveshaft was bad (wiggle in one direction) only 2/100ths of an inch off but apparently just enough to feel it over certain bumps and not constantly. Hope this helps someone else.

I'm experiencing some of the same issues. I've replaced all 4 globes, done a full fluid swap, had a local specialist inspect all bushings, joints, shocks, etc. Alignment done recently, tires balanced again two days ago. It gets worse under load when we're towing a small 1800lb camper trailer.

Drove 200 miles today (just me, no load) and was frustrated by vibrations for about 193 miles of it.

@jtcu I'm wondering if this solved your problem?
