After having a bag fire on me a few years ago in a Ford in a condition that really felt like it shouldn't have fired and the follow on repair bill that was substantial - I want to put a switch on the dash that will allow me to override all the air bags and auto braking precollision system for bashing thru snow drifts and general debauchery in the desert (yeah yeah... liability etc. but this is me doing it to my own vehicle so I am not concerned about the nanny state aspect).
Anyone looked into this and trolled thru the wiring diagrams to find points that look viable for doing a render safe on the firing circuit caps and turning off the babysitter braking? Also, does the fuel pump circuit have its own inertial switch or is it a trickle down CAN msg shutdown from bags firing? The FSM references a "airbag cut-off switch" that looks like it is a factory option in some areas?
