Let it be known, this is how you post pictures of a vehicle for sale. GLWS!

Thanks for the kind words, want to ensure the vehicle condition is being represented clearly!

I'm in possession of the pink slip. She's already signed off the title to release interest/ownership to me.

So it's not registered in your name, then, which means you're not technically the owner yet. If the paperwork were to go through today, she would have to sign off as registered owner.

I would make sure you get that situated ASAP if you want to sell. You've built a great looking truck, but just get those i's dotted and t's crossed to make your life easier and your buyer's life easier.

Also - I'm guessing you're a dealer? Or an amateur that sells a lot. Three threads and all of them for-sale threads. No issues - just make sure you're being transparent.

Clean rig. Did you have to do BMC to fit those tires? I just picked up a 2012 black on black. Have same size tires in my shopping cart right now.

Thanks!!

I do appreciate your input, it is something that will be brought up. But easily to doable with the correct documentation. DMV will accept a bill of sale from her to me, from then me to the next owner(buyer). I have personally purchased many cars with this method. I do imagine it will be a little challenging if someone were to apply for financing, we’ll just have to see once we cross that bridge.

Regarding your other claim, no I am NOT a dealer, just an enthusiast. Like many, I am very particular about my cars. If it’s not the right fit for me, I’d like to pass onto other enthusiasts, which usually does not come from Craigslist or eBay. Most are on boards such as this. I am cleaning house, I will be listing a FJ45 soon as well.

If any concerns, please free to contact me, full transparency here.

I had a motorcycle impounded, unfortunately, because of a very similar situation. I bought it from a guy that had bought it from someone else, but failed to register it. It was a major hassle, and because registration wasn't current while I was going through the process of tracking everyone down and getting everything transferred, a university parking enforcement officer ticketed and towed it because of all that.

I do hope you can address it for your buyers. Regardless of financing, everyone wants to know that title situations are not an issue.

Can you post the VIN and your Carfax so we can all appreciate the service history and background on the truck?

Demello did a beautiful BMC on it. Plenty of clearance, but I don't think it was necessary for these tires. However, I had it done in the event I decided to go with larger tires in the future. Best of luck and congrats on your recent purchase!

Please make contact for Carfax, I'm happy to email a copy! Not sure how to embed a copy here. Thanks!

The Gx are great, compared in size to much loved 100. Yet they need a clamshell hatch tailgate.
This is a sweet looking rig for sure

Here in CO, double signing the title will technically transfer ownership (although an executed bill of sale is a good idea). However, they will require you pay tax twice. Otherwise they call it "skipping title" and they frown upon that because they want their money. Dealerships don't need to do this, but private parties do. Having a licensed dealer bring the car into inventory can some times solve this, but they will likely charge $500-$1k for the paperwork (which might be less than the tax). If you have a relationship with a local dealer, I'd talk to them to formulate an exact plan you could present to a potental buyer.

Sadly, I recently rented a Prado in Costa Rica for 2 weeks. It had the GX barn door. Broke my heart.
