I recommend contacting your local Lexus dealer and inquire about who they use for interior restoration when they take a car in on trade. I shopped many 470s before making my 460 purchase and my local dealer used a company that literally restored the seats to new. You had to really strain to tell where the repairs were made. These luxury car restoration guys can make worn leather seats look ridiculously good. It may be worth a quick phone call or two. That’s at least my plan on my 2010 should I not be able to restore the severely untreated leather...poor seats deserved better.

I looked into that--the dealer I bought it from had someone do some crappy refurbing and the perforated parts were starting to tear.

You may just have to rely on Yelp ratings for an upholster. Ensure there are lots of reviews!

Did you go with LSeat? debating pulling this trigger... '11 GX460--I bought the one off Amazon and it was beautiful, but not a perfect pattern match... I could do both bottoms, and be OK, though... but like the idea of all 4 parts being done to get a great match... the color sample from LSeat looks great, though.
I've been waiting for warm weather to do the leather replacement. Soon.

I pulled the LSeat trigger today... I will keep you updated on delivery and such, if you want.

I did just this when I bought my 2010. For about $200 they came out and refurbed the front seats and a spot on the rear. Looked killer...for a few months. The seats are cracking again and there’s just no dye in the new/reopened cracks.

They gave me a one year warranty for any touch ups, so I could have it redone, but from what I can tell, it’s really more a move to do to dress it up before selling (like the dealership does), it doesn’t fix the problem on the perforated seats we have.

I’ve considered taking the virgin third row seats and asking a shop to use them as a material source to redo the front seat perforated inserts. Currently it doesn’t bother me enough to spend the money or sacrifice the seats permanently.

So I finally found and scheduled someone to do this install and I am very very pleased. The fit is excellent, the quality is great and the color-match is very very close.

LSeat is a great price point.

Wow! They look great! From the photos (if one really wants to nit-pick) the the new seats look just ever so slightly "creamer" or darker? Not sure how you'd describe it. Am I right or is it a camera thing?
But this is great news since my drivers seat has started to split a wee bit along the seam edge of the seat panel and vertical panel where the seat controls are.
Question: I see you have the perferated panels, can you still feel the seat air cooling and heating? I don't want to lose those features!
Also, can you please post the LSeat part number and color for your covers? I have the same color (Ecru) also.

They are a touch more on the beige spectrum than the "Cut-Glass white" that Lexus calls them (Ecru!) but the color match is close enough, that under "most" circumstances, they are fine...

I'm glad you had a good experience with Lseat. I am incredibly disappointed in their customer service. Prior to ordering my seat covers, I asked for a swatch/sample of their leather color choices. I selected the color that was very close to my oem seats and ordered the covers. I paid for a custom logo and asked them to contact me before they manufactured the seats so I could give them the location, size, and color of the logo. They never contacted me even after I called and left a couple of voice mails. The covers arrived in several weeks with the logo on the headrest (not my preference), and more importantly, in the wrong color! I had ordered a medium gray and the seats they sent me were in a light gray (that exactly matched the light grey on the color sample). I submitted a return request and the customer service agent I dealt with (via email only) was very short in their communication and was adamant they sent me the medium grey seat covers (they call it Dove Gray). I sent them pictures of my current seats next to the color sample and the new seat covers next to the color sample, and the new seat covers next to the current seats...the differences in color were blatantly obvious. The agent continued to deny they made a mistake. To top it all off they are charging me 20% to restock the wrong seat covers they sent me plus $29 extra shipping. I will never order anything from lseat again and I'm going to do my very best to make sure everyone knows the kind of business this is.

Sorry to read that poor review of LSeat. I too was hoping to re-cover my two front seats.
May have to think that one over... 🤔

It saddens me too for him...

do remember, though, people are a lot more prone to complain than praise... I didn't see many bad reviews of LSeat prior to my purchase... also, I didn't do a special order... so, plain ol' seat covers...

That's all I need, just the plain Ecru color two front seats with perforated inserts.

Let us know how it goes. We're looking at the same thing.

Might be a dumb question but the seat cushion on the passenger side is awfully uncomfortable (not springy). Would new leather covers help this or are we looking at seat bottoms too?

I have the swatch card thing they send for "free"... Free plus $5 to ship it! I am happy to USPS it to someone that wants it, I'll even cover that postage! PM your address if you want it.

You'll want/need a new cushion.

I would have to imagine it to be the seat cushion because there is not any thickness in the seat cover to add/take away any cushion. Nor does the seat cover compress the seat cushion to cause it to be hard. I'm guessing that you need a new cushion. I'd also suggest sitting in another GX460 seats and compare, just to be sure that it really is your seat cushion and not your own personal "seat-of-the-pants" perspective.
Maybe a trip to the dealer?? :meh:
