I saw one of the new Calvary blue FJ Cruiser and it looked nice... how would this color look on a 40? I was thinking of the T416 for mine but after seeing the new FJ, hmmm...

hey Luis,

My opinion is....

If you do it right with the base coat /clear coat and spend the extra money, it will look good

if you choose a single stage paint job, the blue could make your rig look reaLLY cheap. sometimes a single stage beige 416 still looks half-way decent,,,

juss sayin

Where do you plan on having it painted?

Chris, I hear you but this will be as low budget as possible and any paint job should look better that what is on the rig now.

Where do you plan on having it painted?

Ed,

my CFO (aka wife) also told me that I am on my own on this project so I will have to fund everything myself. So, I will be doing the paint job, and pretty much everything else, myself.

Luis,

I know just how you feel. Mine doesn't want anything to do with my cruiser habit. I am interested in seeing how your paint job turns out. My 40 won't be ready for paint for a long time, but I am already thinking about how I'll get it done.

Are you going to clear coat it as well?

Unless I can get a really good deal on a 2-stage paint, it will be single stage... I should be starting on the slow process in the next couple of weeks or so... I will keep you posted.

Take lots of pictures!
