Do you guys put out a list of trails to sign up for or do you just find one I the morning and go with a group? This will be my first event so not sure how it works.

Trail sign-up will be the evening prior to the trailday. Thus, Wednesday night after the drivers meeting we will get trail sign up done for Thursday's trails.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

I have a friend that wants to come up in stock 2010 4runner and is looking more for scenic stuff... their going to be any level 1 and 2 trails as part of the event? He might even do some 3's if the chance for body damage is very low.

We can find something, there is a couple 3 rated trails that have minimal chance of body damage. Although there is a chance for some pin striping from the brush.

There may also be the opportunity to tag along with the Classic-Classic runs if we have some participants sign up. They will be running scenic byway type stuff, i.e. Mt rushmore, Devils tower, ect.

Hope that helps. We can always find a open seat in another rig for someone to ride along as well. One still gets to be out wheeling without the worry of damaging their new vehicle!!!

It is early and I have not had my second cup O coffee so I may be thinking as clearly as some. This is kinda confusing on the online registration.

You need a BHNF permit.

but it also says with a bright green fill-in color.

BHNF Vehicle Trail Permits are NOT required for Classic-Classic Participants as you will not be running trails that require a permit.

No need to be confused, there is a logical reason!!

BHC Classic-Classic participants will not be trail riding on roads that need a BHNF trail permit. Participants will be doing runs that included seeing areas such as custer state park, Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, ect. If they do get off the pavement much it would be on gravel roads that are open to all vehicles without a permit.

The Classic-Classic is intended for individuals with early Toyota's that do not want to take them on the 'rocks' but still want to enjoy all the camaraderie of Toyota owners.

Hope that answers your question!

I just registered. This will be my first time at this event. My wife and I will be coming down from Regina, SK and are really looking forward to it. Now to get busy and get the truck ready.

Trail Permit UPDATE

TRAIL PERMIT UPDATE

You can now purchase BHNF Trail permits online with a credit card.

They will then ship the permit to your address.

ok, got my permit app submitted and am all registered! only a few months to prep the tow rig, and wheeling rig! I'm doing some big changes, so time to get crackin'!:bounce:

Brian do you know if the Golden Eagle pass covers the BHNF permit.
Thanks John

John,

As far as I know the golden eagle pass does not cover the BHNF trail permit. It only covers day use fees as lakeside use areas, picnic grounds, ect.

I will check to make sure though.

will do! everything could be packed up and wheeled now, but the power steering has been weak lately, so I'm doing hydro assist, maybe a PS pump rebuild. the tow rig needs a better tiedown system for the overhead camper(it's a 1968 Travel Queen). I'd like to paint the camper, etc. I'll put up some pics for you as I go.

hey, is anyone bringing a guitar? do you know how to play 12 bar blues?

I will bring my harmonicas. I am best at playing/singing blues, but can do other styles. makes for some fun campfire time.
