I'm putting my ugly face on this thread again.

Some of us (yeah, more than just me) are still wondering if there's something else we could do on Halloween (10/31) other than Lane's hard core trip. (I have been advised that it is hard enough going downhill without taking it on uphill.)
The alternative trail would either be in that area of the state (SW - NH) so club members of varying abilities could cross paths, or somewhere else. We are looking for an outing that is challenging without a requirement for lockers to get through it, but winches might be useful on occasion.
Who else is up for for going or has a suggested location/route? Waumbus? Anyone who wants to lead? I'd lead, but I'm just not familiar with much more than the Class VI roads near me and the power lines in Troy. (T - any interest?)
