I'm looking to replace my front bumper sometime on my 2010 Taco. The stock bumper is way too big, and so are the ARB bumpers.

I'm wanting a very low profile, light, and basic front bumper - anybody know of some good options?

Sounds like you want a tube style bumper then. Something to this effect http://www.allprooffroad.com//images/rsgallery/display/DSC_4776.JPG.jpg without the aluminum possibly. Have you taken your stock one off? There is a reason for all that aluminum on that bumper, lots of sheetmetal to cover up.

My bumper is still on, I'm still on the shopping and looking around phase.

I like the look of that, I was thinking something even smaller, that only goes as low as the second gen's stock bumper goes, not necessarily all the way down to the suspension. Though it sounds like it may need to go that low to cover up manufactured sheet metal ?

Here is the bumper on my first gen, same style. If you paint all the sheet metal black its not nearly as noticable. But then again, I have not had the bumper of my second gen (2wd, no need to even think about a bumper) and don't know how much sheetmetal is actually under there. In the last pic you can see how if you paint it (well, not all of it since it was half ***) its not too noticable

ur best bet is to come up with some drawings/ideas and to check around to see if u can get a shop to fab it up for u... then ull be happy and itll be unique!

The shrockworks style bumper would get my vote. Its what I copied when I made mine.
