Will there be a Pig Run this year?

Gary had told me the 19th and 20th of August but I think he meant the 20th and 21st because that would be a friday and Sat. I Pm him to ask him, when I find out I'll let you know

This event is closed to those south of the border. :flipoff2:

Does this mean I can't come with my low rider 40? I wanted to show off my new hydraulics.

Thanks for the update - I'm hoping to attend.

Yes, I can see that already know it's the 20th and 21st.

Gary said he was planning on bringing his RHD piglet...just for lookin at and his 40 to wheel. Me... I live a little to far to bring two....so I'll bring Pigwald to keep Gary's piggie company in the parking lot and look to ride shot gun on Sat. I will miss my Hybrid Synergy Drive :crybaby:

OK, Todd, I'll bite: what happened to your Hybrid Synergy Drive (aka the amish buggy)? or are you lamenting that you just won't have it at the pig run?

Merely lamenting that it won't be at the pig run :crybaby: But then again there is always the fall crawl :bounce:

Pig run

Well, less than two weeks till the pig run........haven't really had any commitments other than Todd Slater and Jeff Dozier. Jeff originally was skipping the pig run to make the Fall Crawl but his plans changed. It'll be good to see him at the pig run again.

Who is gonna be there? I'm hoping the Virginia/Maryland contingent will be there and I believe Joe Mylie and crew will be coming down from Connecticut. Tom and possibly Carl from CT will be there. From the PA group, who knows? Haven't really heard anything from anyone but Todd Slater, so, who's coming?

Pig wise it looks like my Aussie piggy, Slater in his gorgeous blue and white truck and Joe most likely with his blue and white piggy.

I think back to the various 55's that have been able to make the event, and the guys who owned and wheeled them. Any of you pig run veterans remember any or all of these trucks and owners?

Jeff LaCarruba- heavy on the pedal and a driver who wouldn't take no to an answer. Last I saw his truck was for sale on Craig's list.

Gary Webster- wheeled the first pig run at Paragon in a stock 69 piggy. It's now owned by a local friend of mine who does not wheel it.

Jeff Dozier- what can I say? The original "I'll get you through that" trail leader. had a lot of fun wheeling pig runs and other days with Jeff and his now departed 55

Brian Koerner- the other remorseless guide who always was a blast to wheel and socialize with

Tom Humphries- too bad the goat pig is gone, Tom- but you can have fun in the 40 this year

Joe Myle- in either the green machine or his current blue and white driver Joe made every pig run but last eyar. How he gets through the trails he does with no power steering and minimal trail damage is beyond me......

Shayne Edmunds- in his beautiful blue and white 77

Gary,

Most of the VA/MD/DC crew will be at Tom Thornton's BBQ on the 21st. Sorry to miss the Pig Run but I'll see you at the Fall Crawl.

Sorry. Can't make it. Too close to finishing the 40. Finishing up what needs done before I paint it over Labor Day. Have fun with the swine. Tell everyone 'Hey' for me.

Oh goody...finally going to get to see Jeff's monster minivan in action....

I'll be on my way to the beach, hoping to make Fall Crawl though.

I think I'll be trying out my new mountain bike on the trails...here is a pic of me on my last adventure...

I might be able to make this.... I have been pigless for several years now, but could bring the 80....
