Only notice upon 1st shift from park to drive on cold start after it sits overnight. Obviously it's on a fast idle when shifted from park to drive which is contributing to this. It seems like the engine rpm goes up a little above fast idle speed when pulled out of park and shifted into drive. The colder it gets outside the more noticeable. Trans shifts great between gears no other issues. Have 248k on this lx. Anyone else notice this with theirs?

A harder shift when it’s cold out and the engine is cold isn’t atypical, so it really depends on how harsh it is

Maybe use techstream to check for any hidden codes. Could be a solenoid starting to go too and I don’t know that my solenoid codes were showing up in OBD Fusion when mine went

You sure it isn't a driveshaft clunk? Try greasing all 6 zerks and see if it changes.

what you are reporting is what we have discussed it in past. The transmission engagement is not as quick and perfect as I want it to be. I wait a few sec when I shift from park to drive or reverse before sending power to wheels to avoid this jerk.
