Hi,

First post here and I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but..

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with an issue I'm facing with my LC. It has been showing a key sign with an exclamation on the dashboard a few times, and now I cannot start it at all. I've replaced the car battery and also the batteries in the remotes. Lights come on and dashboard lights up but I only hear a beeping sound whenever I hit the start switch.

Place the remote key with Toyota mark facing the button around 2-3 cm to it. Then hit start. Maybe You`re parked in a place that jamms the remote key signal.

You're in Park, with your foot on the brake, right?

Have you tried touching your key fob to the start button directly as you press it?

If that doesn't work...try this from the manual:

I do not claim to fully understand what exactly is happening differently when you follow the above instructions. It doesn't really explain. But it might be worth a try.

For accessory mode (step 3), you press start WITHOUT putting your foot on the brake.

Then go to step 4.

I'll be curious to hear what happens...

Thanks for your reply. The car is parked in basement of my apartment. I've tried that method but when I push the button, I just get a *beep* and nothing else.

Yes. Lights come on and I've held the key to the button for a few seconds before pressing it but nothing.

Try the Emergency Start function above (see photo)
