Just looking online, what the heck is this???

Toyota Shows All-New 2010 Land Cruiser, Available in Three and Five Door Bodystyles - Carscoop

I was like, "what the hell? Is this the new LC???"

Then I searched Ebay Motors for 2010 Land Cruisers and came up with pictures and they look exactly like ours. So what the hell is that in the link above???

Also, what did they add for 2010 that we 2008 owners do not have?

In addition, are there any GPS updates? I see a new version for the 2010 models, but is this a disc upgrade we can purchase?

That's the LC Prado (correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that the Prado is sort of a baby LC). The US will get that as the Lexus GX. And I believe the new 4-Runner shares components (possibly platform) with this new LC.

As for 2010, there are very few changes to the "full size" LC. Upgraded Nav system, rain sensing wipers, and Bluetooth is now standard.

This information is correct. The LC120 series is the Prado which is the same as the current GX470 and soon to be GX460 (named per engine size). We will only received the Lexus badged version.

They are both built at the same plant--Tahara Plant--as well as the 4Runner and the FJCruiser.

The Prado is a "medium-to-light duty" Land Cruiser...in comparison to the 7X series cruisers which are considered the "heavy duty" versions for export (we obviously don't see these either or this would be a different conversation). :)

From the link (bolding is mine):
Making its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the all-new 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser, which also previews the North American market Lexus GX, will go on sale in Europe and other international markets before the end of fall 2009.

;)

Nice looking...first thing I said is that it looked like a lexus interior.....very nice

In Spain, it's just the opposite as in the US.

We had the LC 80 series and after a few years his smaller brother the 90 series:

Then the same with the LC 100 series then the 120 series:

And now two years after the LC 200 series we got the new LC 150 series.

I say it's just the opposite cause the smaller versions 90 / 120 / 150 are way more popular than the 80 / 100 / 200, I'd say there is big Land Cruiser for every 30 small ones.

The least common here is the 80 series, in fact it was only sold officialy by Toyota from 1995 to 1997, all the rest are import versions.

In fact, when I came from the UK with my 81, many people told me "what a strange Land Cruiser you have there, it's huge, is it a special version or something?"

I forgot to say, 70 series are quite popular too, but the number of 60 series is ridiculous, they only been sold in the islands.

Just saw the new gx460 on the freeway. I like it. Similar styling cues as the 200 but smaller. I want my wife to get one when her lease is up on the BMW sedan. She says she would rather have the Audi q7 suv. I think the Lexus fx will out last the Audi but she wants the diesel for fuel savings and Audi makes it.

Funny...just took delivery of a 2010 3.0 TDI Q7 for my wife on Friday. Great car! My choice was the LX460, her's was the Q7...gotta loose some of the battles.

She picked the Q7 over the GX460? Keep us posetd on fuel mileage. Post pictures.

She didn't like the rear barn door. Would have prefered one that opens up instead of out. We couldn't settle on a 4 runner, I wanted the trail edition, and she wanted the pimped out Limited. Plus, there is more second row room in the Q7...it's huge back there. It is totally a kid car decision, but may also become the roadtrekker with the mileage it gets, normal 90L (23ish gallon) tank gets like 1000kms (600ish miles). Just wait when the motor is broken in.

Sounds very cool. My wife really liked the GX460 at the car show. We need to check out a Q7 TDI, the fuel economy is incredible.

Any pictures, what color and options did you get?

I agree about the barn door opening as well but at least it does have a second rear opening via hatch window similar to LC 200. I think she will end up with the Q7 as well "dang it". I do like the diesel which GX does not have yet. Show us some pictures of her ride and you guys should record your mileage side by side just to see if their is a big difference. I know driving styles are probably different.;):steer:

The new Prado is on sale here in Saudi for about a month now, nice vehicle inside and out but oh so expensive. A fully loaded one goes for about US$ 52.000 which is well more than a medium trim LC200. The old Prado model (LC120) has an excellent reputation here for reliability and off-road capability.

The 2010 LC200 available here has only very minor differences compared to the 2009 one, I've only been able to spot a USB port next to the AUX cinch plug on the dashboard. Performance of the port is sloooooooow and usability suffers from the same lousy user interface as the rest of the functions.

By the way, perhaps not the right thing to say here but also the new Nissan Patrol model is a very nice looking vehicle !

I read that the 120/150 is simply called "Land Cruiser" in some markets (including, I think, England?) because they no longer sell the 200 (too big, slow sales). So, the Prado soldiers on as the flagship in those markets.

The new Patrol looks really nice. It will be sold in the USA as a Infiniti QX but they also changed it drastically with IRS/IFS. It's a Sequoia competitor now, not Land Cruiser. Too bad.

You test drove a GX460 and did not mention it. How was the 300hp?

sorry, let me go update my facebook status right now! I test drove the GX twice a couple weeks ago. First time at a dealership I hate the salesman took me down the street and back, but I expected that. Then I went to my dealership later that night and they threw me the keys and said go have fun...which I did. It boogies, i liked its ride much more then the GX470(sorry). Only thing I'm not a fan of is the e-switches for the drivetrain but thats what it has so :meh:.
