I think it's true that they rarely offer any traditional incentive on the LC. I know when the 100 series was ending, they had a few grand advertised but I think outside of the current $1k owner loyalty that was the last announced incentive.
However, much like BMW rarely offers advertised incentives, they do offer "trunk money" or dealer cash - something that does not need to be advertised or offered to the end consumer. It is simply money that goes to the dealer and they can use that money as they see fit - keep it, use it to advertise, pass it along to the consumer, etc.
A year ago I'm confident they had dealer money on the LCs. And when I bought last October, they had to have had money as well based upon the price I got. I just don't think the dealer would have given me the price had it not been for some sort of "incentive".
Anyway, I doubt you'll ever see typical incentives on the LC like you see on a GM car ($10k off a Yukon or the like). Based on volume, demand, and prestige, the LC is not a typical vehicle that needs to be sold on price. Many buyers buy it for its name, history, and capabilities, not because it was $8k off - that's what the Sequoia is for!
