I had almost every intention of attending the Southern Cruiser Crawl at Superlift OHV park in Hot Springs especially when I saw it on Xtreme 4x4 this weekend... until this one popped up... The distance I would have to travel to this site vs Arkansas has me up in the air now!

Looks like this place is pretty cool

Just to let everyone know I fixed the dates of the ride. I posted our original discussed dates, but due to multiple home football games in the area, we switched the date.

Guess that made my decision easier. I cant make the new dates...

Jon, if I don't make the haul I might meet you guys there. My Dad and Step Mom put on dog walks once a year for cancer through one of their companies and Andrea and I always have fun at them.

(still on the fence about the haul though as I don't think i'll have any time to take off of work.)

This one is correct...

Curious to know if we are camping or staying in hotel/motel. If not camping then I'm going to go ahead and try to book a room at a Marriott chain and use hotel points.

I was thinking we were camping, there are several sites worthy and close to the area. Brian please clarify the clubs intentions and then let others make there decisions.

Yes, all intentions were camping, but have not verified campground facilities. So I haven't made any plans of where we were staying. Didn't know how close hotels or other amenities were to the trails...

I think I'm going with http://www.harlancountycampground.com/map.html. Website is nice, it's right on one of the trails. They have the passes to ride, along with SHOWERS, and other amenities. I reserved 6 sites, no money down, I just need a head count to who's going to revise if necessary. Seems they don't have a maximum head count per site, they just the total amount of people.

I'm waiting for a reply from the owners.

Joe, is there anyway we could try a trial run of an online reservation on the ONSC site?

Count me in for 2 + dog.

If for some reason we end up needing to make any sort of a deposit, PLEASE call me and we will use the club account. I see no need to attach any club event deposit to a personal account.

Also, let me know if there is anything I can do to help planning, etc.

-Jon

I don't think there will be a need for a deposit, but I'll let you know. I'm hoping Jerry will bring us some valuable info back from his ride this weekend, on how to plan ours. I have maps, and gave Greg one, so we could get together and plan the runs for the days.

We'll need to come up with a meal plan. One group dinner, two, go out to Harlan for one? I'll look into side trips, but I have a feeling everyone going is going to want to do some wheelin...

Wait! so Brian its now Oct 8-11th.... sounds like my AK vs KY debate is back on!

I am officially out and officially off of the fence. Charlotte october fest (beer fest) is the 10th and I have over 350 beers calling my name.... and i'm going to dring everyone of them.

Yeah, there's been some confusion among myself and all the calendars/announcements that are floating around! Sorry about that...
