2008 ticking noise

Looking at an 08 with 175k miles for around 26k. Very good condition. Think it's an ok price but not great. The engine ticks. Is that normal for these motors? I only have experience with the 4.7 in the 100 series.

I have an Amazon Green 08 and I've never heard it tick. With much saddness I have it listed for sale in the classified section if you want to take a look.

Many of the 5.7s have a ticking noise, but depends on what noise you're talking about. Hard to say without hearing it.

I looked in the classified yesterday from my fjone and believe I saw the Greenie listed there.

Scroll to the top, click classified then select 200.

The 5.7 is known to "click" right after start up, until the engine warms and all the valves/lifters/heads expand to operating specs. It is a well documented fact in the Tundra forums. Clicking later on, after warmed up, might be something to look into. These motors have a phenomenal service history so far.
