I believe he is in Hawaii. Harkers Island rocks.

the electronic issues have plagued all the manufacturer's toyota included, although no where near as bad as Merc.
I appreciate the Luxuries provided by electrnonic systems, but question their reliability in harsh conditions. It is not that they cannot be fixed, it is that it is much easier to diagnose and repair a simple mechanical issue with a part in a harsh environment. Even the new highly touted FJ Cruiser had electrical problems during it's Baja 1000

Think of a military Humvee, it is basic and mechanic for a reason. logic for all, that said, since Lexus has already presold most of their early production, to individuals who probably never changed their own oil, I am not so sure they give a damn about what we think. I am probable going to let someone else take the 40-60K loss and buy one used in 3-5 years. They are going for 80K and up with bidding and waiting lists? I want to own a Lexus dealer, they have to make 5-15K per car off bidding alone.

The electronic perks are here and are here to stay. That said, the Toyota Land Cruiser is still one's best choice in a reliable SUV/4-wheeler. It's been #1 since 1998.
