Can someone help me with a wheel and tire question. I have a 2008 Land Cruiser and I recently purchased the nice black and silver 18x9 tundra wheels . I want to get snow tires for it but they are different size than the stock LC. Should I go with the stock recommended tundra tire 275-65-18 or the stock LC size 285-60-18. Or are they close enough that it doesn't matter. I would prefer to keep the LC tire size as long as it fits on that wheel. Also, will the lug nuts of the tundra fit or do I have to use the stock LC lug nuts?

Lastly, they didn't come with TPMS. anyone know of which ones I should get? Tundra or LC ? or just go without

They fit. Land cruiser lug nuts and tpms. Use land cruiser tire sizes (or read one of the million posts on this forum about alternative size tires). The search function will lead you to all kinds of helpful answers.

I use these same rims (in black) on my 200 (and my prior 200).

Thank you for the fast reply. Do you have any pictures of your setup? And If I wanted to have two sets of fully functional TPMS sensor could I do that? A winter/summer set up. or do I have to use the one TPMS and swap them back and forth. Thanks

Yes, you can have two sets. There are multiple well documented approaches on this forum. search is your friend.

@08landcruiser - those will look sharp!

I have a set of denso tpms sensors arriving tomorrow that I snagged from Amazon. I cross my fingers they are legit, but they are model 550-0103. Pls do your own research but I assume these will work for your 08, since they supposedly fit my ‘09 lx.

discount tire will install them for ten bucks a wheel, programming included…. And that’s even if you don’t buy tires there.

I’m not experienced enough to weigh in on your tire size dilemma. But I just snagged a pair of new to me tire on LC’13 wheels that are size 275/65/18

here’s the link,
hope this helps!

I have two separate wheelsets. One for winter and one for summer. Winter set is on our OEM Land Cruiser rims with 285-60-18 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUVs. Summer set is Tundra TRD Pro rims (yours but all black) with BFG KO2s in size 285-65-18. TPMS in both wheelsets.

I swap wheelsets in fall and spring for the seasons. I just take it to discount and they reprogram for free as I purchased all the tires from them.
