Hey there. First time posting in the 100 series section. I am wondering if you could advise whether this 2007 LX470 with 108k miles is worth ~$21k. I posted this in the 80 series as I have the opprtunity to even swap my 2011 FJ Cruiser (zero cash out of pocket). The LX470 is a one owner and been here in Lubbock area all its life. No signs of abuse (maybe the audio as a speaker is blown) and clean car fax and regular maintenance. No record of replaced timing belt or anything major. I brought it home last night, got it on ramps and did not see any fluid leaks etc. All vin tags are on the panels, so no evidence of accidents. This is from a dealer that has a buyer for the FJC so is ready to make the deal. Some pics of the LX. What you guys think? Anything I should be looking for? Is it strictly premium gas for these rigs? I've tried to cover what Slee has recommended to inspect and can't find anything wrong with it. Drives very nice and everything works on it. Any input is very much appreciated.

That truck would sell in a few hours if it was at a lexus dealership down here...

How did the attach the temp plate to the tailgate? Self tapping screws? Lol. I hope its magetic.

Sounds like a good deal based on the info provided.

Out of curiosity, why did you post in the 80 series section if you're trading an FJC on a 100?

Haha. It's magnetic! Yeah I've searched around for a 100 for a few months and seems to be a good deal.

its a deal, even without the 90k completed. it might have been done though, run the VIN thru lexus.com to check the dealer completed maintenance, if any.

Momentary lapse of judgment, thought I would get some non bias input between an FJ and LX470. Got some flack for it

Thanks, much more than carfax. Check this out especially the 2nd and 3rd row. Plan to call the dealer and see if they have more info

call that dealership and get a copy of the work order for that repair # emailed to you. they usually won't have an issue with it. use that detail as leverage with the dealer... "i dunno, might have to buy a new tranny!"

Yeah strange this record was in 2010. Did not notice anything after driving it all day yesterday.

The tranny record is almost 6 years ago and 70k miles later. It's a non issue. They will laugh at you if you bring it up I bet.

might have had a tranny installed by an independent, or the dealer that made that note could have been over the top in their analysis. make sure you shift it into low, test center diff lock, etc. if it shifts smoothly in everything you are likely good to go.

Yeah I tested all gears in all combinations and shifts waaaaay nicer than the FJC. Also think it's not a big deal but I'm gonna try and get all records. Good thing original dealer listed in the record is 5 miles away!

Buy it take it to Slee get the t belt water pump service done, change all fluids and filter along with the "T", have it baselined, then have him take out the AHC and replace with OME and have him install some Slee step sliders. While he is working his magic, rent a car and go skiing for a couple of days. When you get home go to discount tire and have them install a new set of 275/70/18 BFG AT/KO2's.
