Hey all! My '06 LX has finally started it's metamorphosis. Picked her up yesterday from Iron Pig Offroad. Had OME torsion bars installed along with OME 860 rear springs and the OME Sport "comfort" shocks. 285/65/18 BFG AT KOs thrown on the stock rims. Entire AHC system was completely removed.

I must say, you guys were right. She rides like a dream now. I was a little apprehensive about how stiff she would ride with no added weight (removed 3rd row seats also) but everything you all mentioned was spot on. Firmer ride but still a quality ride with zero lean. Love it. Subpar quality rain pics but pics none the less!

Next...the usual add ons. ARB Combo bumper with Slee bumper with tire carrier on the rear.

Can't say enough about the crew at Iron Pig. These guys are top shelf. Smooth process from the beginning to the end. If you are in the area, they are having an open house on October 9. Should be a lot of great Cruisers to look at. I plan on being there! Maybe I'll get the front ARB thrown on then...LOL.

Haha...I swear I uploaded them!!! Pics...where are you???

How about this time?

I want 860's!
Looks awesome, looks very very good, I do have to admit one thing. You shoulda gotten bigger tires.

Can't wait to see it with the ARB and Slee

Looks great! I just went to Slee's website and noticed that the 860 springs were not listed as an option for 98-07 models, only 91-97 models... Is this just a typo? According to their website it lifts the FJ by about 2". It looks like yours is lifted so much more than that... Can you comment as to why? Did they do anything else to it? That looks like a lot more than 2"!

Nice! Can you take a measurement or two? From underside of fender lip to the top edge of the rim, front and rear. Hoping to make it to IPOR on October 9!

I think those tires look perfect! How do they feel? Please give us a ride report on the tires when you can

Thanks

TLC Dan

I had the 860s for a month or two. It lifts the 100 a little more than 2" but is perfect for no added weight.

That's how my truck looks like with my AHC on the high setting sitting on stock rubber... That really looks like more than 2" of lift !

Very nice. I love the rims too - what are they? Have not really seen them before.

Looking great! I had to do a double take there... for a second I thought I was looking at my truck!

mtnracer: I think those are the stock LX rims for 06 - 07

To answer above question, nothing else added other than the 860 springs. No spacers, trim packs, etc. Regarding the tires, I was considering running 295s but went with these for the time being fearing I wouldn't be able to pull in my puny 7 ft. garage door. Good thing I did, too. With the Thule load bars up there I have BARELY 1" to clear. I have other plans for the future that are going to require more height SO it looks like I will requiring the use of my father's carpentry expertise to put in larger doors....haha. The pictures seem to make the 285s look a little smaller than they actually are. In person the truck/tire combo looks more proportional.

4Peanut, the truck is loaded for OBX right now so as soon as I get back I will take some measurements for you. Figured an unloaded truck would give you more of an accurate reading.

Beach bound, see ya'll!!!

. . . here is another one
