2006 LX470 Taillight Lens Cracked

Hello,

My 06 LX470 met a tree on the rear passenger side and ended up with a cracked lens on the outer tail light ( i.e., the one on the body not the lift gate). Is it possible to replace the lens or do I need to replace the entire tail light assembly?

Is this interchangeable with the LC tail lamp lens?

On another note, I've seen a few LC-100's with a grill covering the tail lamp? Where can I get one of those?

I don't know if you can replace just the lens, but I don't believe it interchanges with the LC, and don't get the tail light guards. Instead of just a broken lens in your case you may have body damage with those as they bolt to the sheet metal where the light mounts and can bend it when they're hit.

Unfortunate that you cracked the one on the body, I believe that's the more expensive half of the light.

Thanks for the info about the guards. Any recommendations on where to get the lens from, if it is indeed replaceable? Figures that I would break the more expensive part....

I don't think you can buy just the lens. A dealer is probably your best resource or a salvage yard / website. I don't know if you could get away with putting an aftermarket unit in, it may stick out like a sore thumb next to the OEM tail gate lamp.
