Well, I'm in with my 4yr old daughter and it looks like Carl (BluesDawg) is in. I haven't heard anyone else talking about it. I had BMAN bring it up at the last CSC meeting to see if we can stir up anymore interest.
I'll be sending in my registration after this weekend. I'm heading up to Vegas tonite to see me dad and sister and her new baby. While I'm there I want to see if anybody in the fam wants to ride along with me for GGG. After that I'll send in my $$. I'm pretty excited about this, it will be my first TLCA event. :cheers:

BTW, this weekend is the Vegas to Reno. It starts Friday. If you want to see some buggies/trucks/quads running around the desert it would be an excellent time!

I wanted to do this run BAD but being that the baby will be REALLY new to the world, the timing sucks for me.

Just got back from 5 days in Vegas. Are there any real wheelers up there? Everytime I go, I rarely see any sweet rigs. Lots of bling though. I did see one badass looking Sammie near my dads house on Ann/Jones.

It was kinda dark grey/faded black with a full cage. Looked to be on 33's rolling down Ann. My dad lives in those big acre lots just off the corner of Ann/Jones. He bought that place about 18 years ago when that side of town was nothing. Now those acre lots there look outta place amongst all the developement. He paid 120k for that acre and 4000 sqft house, you don't want to know what it appraised for last year.

Hey if you live right around there, when are heading to the GGG. I'm coming up thursday the 19th. Maybe we can meet up and caravan out to Mesquite.

My mom lives off of Bradley and Ano (the 215) on a acre as well. That is where the cruiser is stored :)


I'd love to carravan out with ya. Makes it easier to get to the campsite.

Cool, I'll head up early Thursday and get to Vegas early afternoon. I had planned on spending the night there, but don't know how to find the campsite and how long it would take friday morning, so going in thursday afternoon would be better.
 
We booked a hotel in Mesquite, but can caravan with you to locate the site for Friday morning. You're starting from Tuscon, right? So when and where in Phx do you want us to meet up wit chew? We live in SoMo (Baseline/I-10 or Elliot I-10 exits).

I was thinking of getting out the door at 6am which would put me in N/W Vegas around 2pm. I usually go up the 17 and cut across past Lake Pleasant to Wickenburg. I don't know if that way is better or not, but I like it better than up the 60 to Wickenburg.
If I get out of myhouse by 6am I should be hitting the Carefree exit by 8:30 or 9, depending on traffic. How bad is the freeway at that time in the am? Should I leave an hour earlier? I don't really want to leave later, I'd like at least a little time here and there to let Zoe out of the truck for a little bit and still get to Vegas early afternoon.
 
If you are close enough to the Carefree Hwy the Lake Pleasant route is a nice one.

I'll be in carefree around Xmas time if ya want to meet up for :beer:

I'm in the middle of some mods to my rig right now. By the time I get up there I'm gonna have to relearn how to drive my junk.
I just put 315's on a month ago and have wheeled them twice with stock gears. Now I have 4.88's in the rear and no front DS. Hopefully in the next 3 weeks I'll have the front 4.88's and ARB locker in. That will give me a couple weeks for some local runs to get a feel for it before heading up to Nevada.
I haven't decided what trails I want to hit up there yet. 3.5 trails are my comfort zone before bumping up tire size, regearing and front locker. We'll see. :cheers:
 
Cripes - I gotta get a bumper and some skids at a minimum! I'm gonna try and get a front locker in too...
 
If you are planning on the hardcore run, you will need body protection and lockers..
 
probably will not do the hardcore run this time. I do have sliders and that factory rear e-locker. I've ordered a beefy bumper and am planning on ordering beffeier skids (than factory) this week.
