Hi all! It's finally time to get my fiancé out of her Chrysler and into a 100 series. We're looking for a well maintained, preferably documented, lower mile (<200k), rust free Land Cruiser. No accidents please. Even if they were just cosmetic... I've been burned too many times to take a risk. We are a family of car enthusiasts, and this will be her new daily driver. Kept in a climate controlled garage, and sprayed liberally with woolwax!;)

Colors we're interested in: Black Garnet Pearl, Black, Galactic Grey Mica, Natural White, Pacific Blue Metallic, or any of the silvers. Basically, no golds please!

Budget is ~$20k. Willing to go a bit higher for the right car. I'm located in Wisconsin, but am more than happy to drive it back and make a road trip out of it.

Let me know if you, or someone you know, is selling. I'd love to buy from someone who wants to see their well kept vehicle go to someone who will treat it well!

@55LC may have what you are after looking at the ad. I'd like to have it myself...

I was really close to messaging them, but it doesn’t have AHC :’(

This is kind of an uncommon opinion, but I’d actually like to have it! It looks like a great option other than that though. Bummer!!

You're in Wisconsin, we're in Wisconsin. The mileage is a little higher than you want, but we have two southern LX470's that are minty minty.

Man if only they were LCs. I’ve tried convincing the lady to take either, but she’s pretty set on a Land Cruiser. She just really prefers the front end, and I’m not gonna fight it! It’s her car after all, lol.

Thanks a ton for sharing though. If we’re in the area, we might still swing by and take a look if we get down there sometime soon.

I actually messaged that guy a week or so ago - he has no service documentation, nothings been done to it, and has no clue of the cars history. For $20k that makes me real nervous so I decided to pass. Might still grab the CarFax just to see, though.

Thanks for sharing!

Well, in that case we can get you an LC from the south. When you say rust free, do you mean body and entire underbody, or just body?

There's a very highly graded 2006 LC with 150k in GA that would fall in your range.

Rust free all around - body and underbody. As much as I can get it. I understand there will always be some sort of oxidation on small parts after 20 years, but ideally it’s as rust free as I can get.

Looks like that LC was potentially in an accident w/ structural damage (I’m assuming that’s what this means)

They have to put that if there is any underbody or frame rusting or minor unibody denting. Just how it is disclosed in auctions. It doesn't mean it was in an accident. If a dealer bought the truck to resell to you, they wouldn't mention anything about structural damage.

So, any pinch weld jack points are bent, spare tire well denting, or in this case the tow hitch rust, have to be stated.

FWIW looks like this truck can be had for around 15-16k

I took a second look and saw the underbody photos - yeah that's definitely a lot more rust than I'm willing to accept unfortunately.

Ok, so even in dealer-only auctions a low mileage completely rust free 2006-2007 with dealer service history and no accidents is going to be pushing 25-30k.

If you can find a private party truck that checks all those boxes for 20k or under that would be a very nice find, otherwise you're going to have to compromise one of those categories.

I'll shoot you a PM. I'm okay with going a bit over 20k for the right car.
