Just pulled trigger on my lance 1885 TT. I have tow package without AHC but need to install brake controller. Looking at past posts the prodigy is mentioned several times. However many of the posts are kinda old.

Anyone have recent install of a desirable brand. Also looking at options for mounting the controller from the ash tray to anywhere else?

I'm using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3. Your '06 should already be wired for it. You need the correct cable.

Like many others, I mounted it in place of the ashtray. Not exactly stock looking but it's tucked up out of the way.

I am also using prodigy 3. I used the harness that was plug n play for the truck. I used velcro to attach it to the top of the foot rest on the left side near the kick panel. Works great and I can easily remove it when not towing since its my wife's vehicle.

I'm really considering the prodigy rf so I can switch vehicles at times.

The prodigy 3 can go from vehicle to vehicle. It has a quick disconnect and a holster that you mount and the prodigy can quickly go in and out. It saves my settings, but I'm only using it on one vehicle. I don't know if it can save setting for multiple vehicles.
