I have my Tacoma listed for sale on Craigslist locally for $19000 but seing as how I ultimately plan to put some of the funds toward another LandCruiser I thought I'd post it up here for trade (or sale if you you prefer). It's an 05' double cab long bed TRD sport 4x4 with ~119,000 miles on the clock. Options include power outlet in bed, sliding rear window, all the power stuff and all weather mats...I think that's about all. There weren't many options other than the TRD packages for this year. Sorry for the "dirty" pictures. I'll clean it up and take come good ones asap.

The good:
-Front suspension: Donahoe Coilovers w/ Total Chaos upper contol arms and Revtek diff drop kit.
-Rear suspension: Deaver 10 pack leaf springs w/ Bilstein 5100 shocks
-Wheels and tires: 16x8" Konig Countersteer Offroad's w/ 285/75/16 BFG A/T's w/ about 80% tread...I love these wheels and will gladly keep them if a buyer/trader doesn't like them. I have others I can put on it for a discount.
-CTC Century Topper w/ siding rear windows (with screens).
-Front windows tented to match
-Aftermarket Satellite radio...added to factory radio
-The body is nice with only one small dent in the tailgate that was there when I got the truck. The topper just about hides this dent completely.

The bad:
-The driver door power lock just quit a couple of weeks ago...I've been watching ebay but havent found a replacement yet.
-About 1 in 5 starts the truck stumbles just a little for a few seconds then clears up. It threw a code a couple of weeks ago for a misfire so it got new plugs and one new coil pack which cleared it up almost completely...almost. I figure there's another coil going but not bad enough to throw a code yet so I dont know which one. They are $105 at the dealer. I also had the headgasket checked at the dealer out of paranoia and they said it shows no signs of problems which I have in writing.
-It was hail damaged last year. Repaired by the local Mercedes dealer (supposed to be the best body shop in town). You wouldn't know it if I didn't tell you.

I'm interested in trading up, down, or sideways for nice LandCruisers 80's or 100's (blue, white, grey, 40th's) or LX's (black, white, grey) or possibly newer Audi or VW TDI's or other sport wagons. What I really want is a Blue 95-97' locked FZJ80 w/ cloth interior low miles and no rust but I don't have a pet unicorn so that's probably never going to happen. Mud price on the truck is $18,000 and I'm willing to remove parts in exchange for a lower sale price. The title is clean and in hand.

Scratch that...I think the dealer may be wrong. It's blowing bubbles in the coolant reservoir. I'd love to get rid of it but I don't want to stick somebody with a ticking bomb. I will most likely be stripping my parts this weekend and trading it on a VW....dang it.

I know someone looking for a long bed DC TRD sport.

I didn't realize the 4.0 has HG problems. Common or not? Did you have anyone verify or are you pretty sure that's what's wrong?

Yeah I wasn't either until I started looking into it further. There are a lot of complaints on the internet from people with exactly the same problem, most well under 130k miles. The dealers are aware of it too once you press them on the matter but there's no TSB on it. Well done Toyota...118k miles and I'm looking at a $3300 repair bill or a new motor. I have not had it verified but I don't know of anything else that could exhibit these symptoms. I may try to trade it at the dealer that said it was fine...or let them fix it. I don't know what to do; I can't really win at this point.

I had a decent offer on the truck last week. I'm glad I turned it down. He probably would have come back and shot me once he figured it out. I guess my next cruiser will just have to wait.

Wow. That sucks. Best of luck to you.
