I'm looking for a nice low mile LX470... just not a eucalyptus green one. So I thought I'd share... Found this 2005 while searching $35,000 with about 35k miles. Looks pretty clean in the photos.

Here's the link to the dealer's site.I have no affiliation with this place nor do I know if they're a good place to deal with...

I have not, I just came across the ad. Although I might swing by the dealership at lunch next week to take a look. It's only a few miles from where I work.

Do you guys use a lot of salt on your roads. Is rust a problem on your vehicles.

I think it's pretty much just sand and maybe chemical de icer up on the mountain passes. There isn't really much snow and ice here in the Puget Sound to begin with.

Oh and rust out here isn't too bad, except out on the coast, it mostly depends on how you take care of things.

Its gone... hope another low mile lx or lc comes along

Be glad you missed it. That was a crazy price, even out here.

Yeah.... It seems like these vehicles cost a bit more in the PNW. There are a couple low mile 470's in Eugene that are priced a little higher, but it seems like anything with less than 60,000 miles is getting pretty rare. I'm actually starting to struggle with the miles vs year vs price thing.

Anything '05 or newer with low miles is crazy expensive. Anything that isn't that expensive is at best an '03 with 95-120k miles. Anything newer with 100k on the clock costs about $5000 more than a similarly equipped '03.

To complicate things further 100 series rigs have great reputation for high mileage reliability and my father in law has an 06 with 110,000 that looks and drives like it just rolled off the lot. And then there's the $$$$ pre 90k service. Buy a 65,000 mile LC and get ready to write a good sized check in the next year or so. Or buy one that just had the service taken care of and let the previous owner foot the bill.... The more I research these things the more frustrating it gets.

I guess I'll just have to remain patient, keep my eyes peeled and seek out advice from the experienced guys on this forum...

You just have to be patient and willing to look outside of OR/WA. NV and CA have a lot to offer for less. I watch 100 listing continuously and the ones priced like that sit or eventually get traded in. There's just too many good new vehicles out there in the 40k range. People won't pay 35k for an 8 year old vehicle that gets 15 mpg unless they really want the off road capability... and MUDDERs are too cheap for that. As a data point, our 04 was bought in October for just ofer 22k with 72k on the clock out of Reno. One owner, Lexus maintained every 3k, etc...

Set up RSS feeds from CL and save searches on AutoTrader and Cars.com so the listing come to you automatically. With CL, just hit the major areas: Reno, Vegas, Bay Area, Sac, Orange County, etc.

Thanks for the tips and advice. I'm all set up now... Just waiting for something to come along.
