i figured i might as well start posting info on this year's run, the 4th anual. the event will be held in northern CA, as usual, on labor day weekend. this year that falls on sept 3rd thru 5th and will also be my 35th birthday party; could'nt think of a better way to celebrate.
we will probably be going to mud lake again, although we're gonna be exploring a few other sites as well.
this is a free event. just bring yourself and your cruiser, heck, any vehicle and come hang out with a bunch of cruiserheads and fj45s. we'll have the raffle as always (prizes are more than welcome) and what would the 45 run be without protugie joe's famous pig-b-que! thanks again to joe and paula; you guys bbq a mean pig on the spit!!!!!
let me know if you guys have any questions. hope to see you there!

rodney. you're more than welcome to crash at my place and then caravan up with us from there.
here's a mapquest link that'll get you very close. as you're coming up highway 88 you will cross tragedy creek. right after that the road crests a hill and just before you reach the top, there is a turn -out to the right. it's marked mud lake. you can zoom in on the map and follow the dirt road south to mud lake.

Thanks for the offer. Ahh its even with Sac a tomotoes! Not sure which way we are headed down. Half to plan a route, and definately try to twist pimps arm to go..If not I will bring the 55 as a support vehicle

righton mike! looking forward to hanging out with all my old fj45 buddies and hopefully some new faces like rodney and landpimp.

6 months and counting..........

Hey, just fyi, going to try to organize an east coast version to run the same time in PA are Paragon (www.paragonap.com). I know we have at least 6 LBPs in NJ alone, plus one LV in CT and maybe a few other scattered around. We right coasters gotta get a chance to show that not all the 45s are on the west coast. :D

We plan on going and camping at mud this time. NO inlaws and no frikin camp host to deal with about money and space. Had fun last year and the same goes for this year.

awesome!!!!
the first bi-coastal (is that gay?!) fj45 run. let me know if there's anything i can do to help set it up.

some more info:

raffle!!!!
at last years raffle, everybody who showed up walked away with at least one raffle prize. a big thank you goes out to all the vendors and attendees who were kind enough to donate prizes last year, once again. and the best part of this raffle, just like every other year, is the fact that it's free. all you have to do is show up.
we will have a raffle again this year and i have comitments from a few vendores and individuals to donate some more prizes.
i just got an email from terry H. in CO. he offered to come up with some cool fj45 related prizes.
thanks in advance for all the raffle prize donations!!!!!!!
and if anybody would like to bring a prize, which is obviously to be encouraged, please feel free to do so. in the past the prizes have ranged anywhere from a bottle of wine to a full cage kit and everything in between. does not have to be cruiser related!!!!!!!

how many free events can you go to and pretty much be guaranteed to win a raffle prize?! :D

sweet! thanks rodney.

in the past i have shown vendors pics of the previous events and the coverage in TT. most of them reveiced the idea very well and were willing to donate stuff. some more than others. but just about any raffle prize will do. last year we had a couple of the "tornado alley cruisers" out here for the run and they stopped off at spectre on their way up. they brought up the 45 run during their conversation with marv and kaye and promptly received some trinkets for the raffle.
once again, i'm glad to be part of the land cruiser comunity. great bunch of people!!!

i think last time we had 12 fj45s, one fj25, about a dozen fj40s, a couple of fj55s, a couple fj60s, a couple fj80s and even a 100 series cruiser (although he was lost).
mark (mark's offroad) and gene aka land cruiser junky drove their fj25 and fj45 up from the L.A. area. jack rice aka medusa was there from OR. i guess washington would be e new record. ;)
