Just purchased a 2004 LX so unfortunately for me I need to sell my beloved King Ranch. It’s a 2005 in extremely good condition and meticulously maintained (I am a diesel head and take care of my trucks). I’m asking 16k. She just crept to 199k miles and is ready to do 200 more. The truck has everything you need to make it last forever. EGR delete, ARP head studs with the proper gaskets, all fluids changed on time every time, always used rosella T6 oil and added archoil at every fill up. It has an SCT tuner and a DASHBOSS diesel monitoring system. I always monitor my temps and I have never had any issues.
In addition it has a front leveling kit, rear airbags for towing or dropping in a camper, currently sits on 35s and I just put brand new Bilstein 5100s front and rear (less then 400 miles on the shocks currently).
Some other cool redneck stuff it has is a 100w PA system wired in (used to yell at bicyclist who love to bogart SoCal roads, but would also come in handy on the trail), passenger airbag on/off switch professionally installed so my kids could safely ride up front, and it has a hidden vehicle kill switch to prevent theft when I park it. Also has an iPod auxiliary jack and I am sure I’m missing something.
Bottom line is I love my truck and took exceptional care of her. Plan was to do a mild build for family camping, but the family got too large to fit everyone in so we went with the LX. It would be a great platform for a bed camper or a great tow rig to get your cruiser to the trails.
