I'm going to look at 2004 today and the owner is telling me that there is a slight bump feeling when you go to reverse. Its a one owner, all maintenance done by dealership with 204,000 miles and extremely clean. hes telling me that the dealership has told him its nothing to be worried about. Should I be worried about it?

Probably the typical Toyota thump. lots of threads on here that go into driveline detail. hard to know without driving/seeing the truck, but will give you an idea of what to feel, look for.

Odds are it is just normal driveline play from normal wear and tear.
Many have reported that switching to a different type of grease makes this go away.
You can always have it inspected by a mechanic and see what they say, but in general a transmission will not clunk, but u-joints, differentials, transfer case will.
That does not mean there is something that needs immediate attention though. I have driven trucks for over 100,000 miles that had what sounded and felt like a death clunk, your results may vary.

I don't know what he was talking about because it drives like a champ.i live this thing!

Hey, If the seller thinks it's something to worry about, have him knock $500 off the price. Haha.

Drive home, grease up the drive shaft zerks and ride off into the sunset.

Lots of people don't like the color combo, but it's a Hundy. And I love hundies no matter what color they are! Except pink, or fluorescent green I dnt think I would like those colors...
