I have not previously owned a 4Runner but I am going to look at one tomorrow. My question is the 2004 with V/8 larger than the previous years-1997 up. I am looking for 95% DD and minimal off road but I want a truck that is manuverable for the ever dwindling parking space sizes. My super 60 will handle the rough stuff. I am meeting the owner at 9:30 AM tomorrow so would appreciate a responce. Thanks Bill kbill45@cableone.net

My next door neighbor has an 04 and is very happy with the V8. I drove it to compare it to my 2001,
and the power was impressive. A little more room(wider) inside as well. What is the asking price?
Curious because my Dad is also in the market for a 4Runner.

2004 4runner

The asking price is $18k
It has 46K miles - kept garaged - new tires - X something suspension from Toyota - 6 speaker sound system(JBL I think). The only thing I don't like Is fabric upholstery.
It was purchased new by a young woman.
I live in Prescott, AZ and the truck is in Phoenix. I couldn't find anyone to go with me this AM so I am driving down to take a look.tomorrow (Sat) and if I like it she will bring up later on the way to Sedona.
I will probably get it. I like the color(Silver) and till now everything For sale has been dark which don't do well with this desert dust.

It must be a sport edition since it has X-reas suspension. If you ever plan to lift it, you'll be limited to a spacer lift or getting rid of the x-reas. It's great for on-road handling, but not so great off road. It basically couples the opposing corner suspension to each other, acting like an anti roll bar.

04

It won't see much off road work. I am building a super 60 for that and still have my locked 40.

I had just never heard of that suspension. Thanks for the info
