I had a similar issue on my 06 lx470. My problem was the driver seat would randomly end up all the way forward and then would work intermittently. It ended up being the driver seat ecu. I have new driver seat switch that i thought was bad initially if anyone wants a new switch.

If I remember correctly, the switch portion, as sold by Toyota/Lexus, doesn’t include the color bits.
yeah as jLB said, it doesn't include the outside color pieces. It the internal switch mechanism.
Hello, in my case the front part of the seat does not go up/down, back is just fine. See pic.
I am not too mechanically so trying trying to decipher how to remove the switch?
Can someone help? Any video?
It's been a little while since i did it. I believe that cover pops off to get you access to the pins. Google for a video. I saw a video of them doing it on another car not an LX. Good luck!
Reviving this old thread, how the hell do you take the front face off of the switch? It’s held by all these little tabs all around
I confirmed that the pin for my seat tilt mechanism is broken bc I took off the back panel and the tiny little tip of the pin fell out, but I need to take the front apart to take the switch out and glue the pin back together

Updating for documentation
Took me a while to figure out how to take off the face plate but I got it eventually. One hand pries the plate off from the little gap on the end using a flathead, the other hand pries each little tab on each side off, moving side to side.
My issue was that my thigh support switch would go down but not up. The seat was al the way down, so you could feel the switch actuate and feel/hear the motor click, but the switch wouldn’t move upwards at all. After cracking open the switch, it was exactly what LonghornLX said, the little white plastic pivot pin in the switch broke, and the pieces prevented the switch from being toggled upwards.
I tried to superglue the pin back together but I ain’t no surgeon so I couldn’t get it to stay straight enough to fit back in the hole. I decided to just wait until I can find a donor switch to replace my current one, or at least swap the pin/switch over. I don’t have the tools to make my own from a nail, I live in an apartment and just have some simple tools.
So I go ahead and put it back together without the pivot pin in the switch, and whaddayaknow, the switch works perfectly fine without the pivot pin installed. It’s definitely loose and wobbly, but it’s held up enough by the actuators on each side that it doesn’t need the tension from the pivot pin. So I got my thigh support back
I’ll still keep my eyes peeled for an LX/LC part out, in which case I’ll take the switch and swap a pivot pin in.
