*****NO LONGER FOR SALE*****

I have pretty much decided to put my Land Cruiser up for sale. I purchased the Land Cruiser in February of 2010 from a Toyota dealer in Walnut Creek, Ca. It was a certified pre-owned Toyota. I had been looking for quite some time when I located a 40K mile clean Land Cruiser. I drove about 4 hours to make the deal and left as a happy new owner.

Prior to the purchase I had been lurking amongst the forum. Post purchase I have been very attentive to the details and modifications of these Land Cruisers. During the past couple years I built the Cruiser up with the upmost attention to detail and with only quality modifications.

When I purchased the vehicle it was as clean as I could find and appeared new. The dealer even installed brand new stock tires with the truck. It was born with a rear wind deflector. The grey stripe in the molding had faded. My first modifications were to remove the wind deflector and color match the molding stripe. I like the clean lines without the deflector and so gone it went.

The center console was scratched and I didn’t like the appearance of the scratched console in an otherwise super clean vehicle. I ordered a new console to replace the old console. The bulb for the front right heated seat switch had burnt out but the seat heater otherwise worked so at the same time I ordered a new switch.

The carpet and mats had been protected by Toyota Land Cruiser rubber all weather mats and were in great condition. I ordered brand new mats for the truck in the event I ever chose to replace the rubber mats with NEW mats. I still have not used the mats at any rate.

I have taken this truck on light trails and have plenty of photographs showing where it has gone. I wouldn’t consider any trail it has been on as abuse by any means.

Much like anyone else and very much like myself when it comes to toys and building, I have decided to move on with my ventures. I have another project in mind now and although this Cruiser was not my daily driver I am looking for a more economical vehicle...A Prius comes to mind.

I had much bigger things in mind with the truck but being in my position with my young daughter, I just think I would be able to build a more devoted recreational vehicle and have a 50 MPG vehicle to take her places other than just the mountains.

A few of these mods such as tires seem senseless and really were only done to appease my own sense of curiosity.

This Cruiser runs just as any vehicle in excellent condition should. It really is a “what you see is what you get” type rig. There are not any issues with it and it is as clean as it looks with no skeletons.

I would consider the truck rust free and have pictures to prove.

I am not really looking for a debate of what it’s worth. That is based on objectivity and very much so subjectivity to myself and prospective buyer. If I would have bought this truck as is now I would have saved myself probably about 25k. I am not in a hurry to sell and don’t need to sell. I know I have a great truck that will serve me well for years and it is just as capable as any of this series (100), but if there is anyone in the community who is interested, well here it is.

The pricing reflects KBB and NADA guides along with consideration of the modifications. Labor and paint alone would probably add over $5,000. With that in mind I didn’t figure labor or paint into the mix.

So what is it....while this is what I could think of. I have a complete price list of all modification as well as most to all receipts for modifications and work done.

I can add as many and any pictures wanted for someone interested. I figured I would hold off posting pictures due to the limited people who would be interested in the truck. I put a few poser shots of it to show what I have though.

This is the 100 I have always wanted to build....down to bumper choices, color-match etc.

Easily worth it for someone who wants a turn-key 100. Good luck with the sale.

Great looking truck and exactly what I'm looking for...just out of my price range. Good luck with the sale and I'd love to see more pictures in this thread for sure!

Nice cruiser! I have been debating selling my 40 in order to upgrade to a more modern land cruiser that I could do some distance in and pull my boat if need be, something like this one you are selling. Best of luck!

Thank you everyone. I'll post pictures a little later when I have a bit more time.

I never really made a build thread for my truck. I posted rid bits at times when I was adding modifications to it but that's about it. I've really taken much more from this forum than I would ever be able to give back and that is why my number of post is rather low.

Thanks for looking

In addition to the above installed items I had left out the SLEE differential drop and I had the every window tinted. The front windows are 35%, the rear windows are 5% and the rear windshield(?) is 15%

I apologize for the poor picture taking abilities but here a few for starters

The truck has less than 71,000 miles and the pictures reflect the exact mileage.

The lighting was bad on that driver's side seat photo but it looks more like the front pass seat below.

My lord....

GLWS...gorgeous rig!

Really nice rig... Any interest in a fj40? Lol. I wouldn't mind cruising up to Alaska in that.

I would really love an FJ40 but I'm looking for a 1st Gen 4runner to build.

Thanks for all the good lucks. At this point I can really go either way for keeping it or selling it. I may look at Prius' though and see where that takes me with all of this.

I seem to always pay a vehicle off and it's on to something else.

Oh and I forgot the last major service I had was at 61,000 from the Toyota dealership. I've had all the oil changes since I bought the truck done at the dealership with the exception of the very last oil change which I did myself.

Gearing and lockers went in about at 60k miles.

Ok, after finally deciding to place the truck for sale and research as to what I want my next purchase to be and exactly at what price I want to pay I have lowered the price to near what I want the vehicle to sell for. Its still at OBO but its much closer to what I am looking to sell. As I may have mentioned before I'm really only looking to sell if I can purchase the brand new vehicle I want as a straight trade for my truck. Thats the only way I can justify losing all I have put into this truck.

The lower price is shown in the initial thread at $34,000 Or Best Offer.

Thanks for looking:cheers:

I just wishi could get those bumpers tires and wheels off it.

Very nice truck. Good luck with the sale. I wish I could trade mine for it.

PS: don't sell it. But if you do, make a build thread on mud about your 1st gen 4runner. I've always wanted one too.
