A few things:

1. That stereo setup is pretty limiting if you ever want to change anything. It is not compatible with aftermarket systems. This is not the case with other 100 series vehicles without navigation. I'd personally avoid those with navigation just because you're locked into the factory system short of serious modifications.

2. Miles don't matter much at all with these rigs. Rust is more of a concern if you're outside the southwest US. Being in TN, that's close to the rust belt. Generally the 100 series seems to be pretty rust resistant, but it's worth checking. They don't have any pics of the underside or engine. That's a little worrying.

3. That's not exactly cheap. I wouldn't feel bad about missing that deal.

Do you plan to do any off-roading with it? If so, the 98-99 with rear diff lock are maybe a better fit. 2000+ are fine with ATRAC too, but if you're budget-minded a clean 98-99 might be a good find for you.

X2, miles are kinda high for that price, maybe 10k if that. Fwiw, I paid 14k for a mint 98 with 56,900 a year ago Friday.

Get some pics of the undercarriage and sign up for the Toyota owners web site to run the VIN for the dealer maintenance records. If everything checks out, make them an offer (with a contingency for a test drive). The '03 is a fine year. I doubt their price is the selling price, so deal some.

As long as proper maintenance has been performed and they were shown a little TLC (as supra said) you don't really have to worry about mileage with these trucks, they'll keep on ticking.

Get detailed pictures of the underbody and post them up here and we'll give you a better idea of whether to snag it or run away (and by that I mean that all the SW/west coast area guys will tell you to run and the rust-belt dwellers will tell you it's fine!). But for what it's worth, 14k seems very high for the mileage and year, I'd be thinking more along the lines of 11K or maybe less depending on the overall condition. It would have to look brand-spanking new for me to get anywhere near 15K.

I, too, thought the price was high for that mileage, and I just finished a long, nation-wide search for one myself. As others have stated, I wouldn't worry about miles as long as it's been maintained well and is rust-free.

Thanks for the reply's peeps!! You all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! thx
