SOLD!

Since we just bought an LX570, I am going to bite the bullet and sell my 2003 Land Cruiser. It has 185K miles and is in very good condition. Color is Thunder Cloud. Always dealer serviced with Mobile 1. I have the 3rd row seats - they were almost never used and stored in the garage. I have added lots of upgrades over the years and it makes an amazing daily driver, camping or overlanding truck.

Asking $14,500 obo

Upgrades:

1. OME Medium Load Kit with 865 rear springs, OME torsion bars and OME Nitrocharger shocks
2. Slee Diff Drop Kit
3. Dual Battery System (two AGM batteries) with 110V and 12V power points in the cargo area that is isolated on the second battery
4. Vais Tech iPhone / iPod adapter (30 pin)
5. Custom stereo upgrade with Boston Accoustics SR60 and 8" Woofer in stock location (no loss of cargo space). Dedicated amps for speakers and woofer. Everything is hidden - no exposed amps or wires.
6. K&N Cold Air Intake (nice power boost but I also still have the stock intake if you want it)
7. Doug Thorley Headers (much smoother power)
8. WeatherTech Floor Mats / Liner
9. DVD Player is hacked so that you can always play DVDs (driving or parked)
10. Bump It Offroad Sliders (I still have the running boards if you want them)
11. TRD Rock Warrior Wheels with Michelin LTX AT2 in 285/70-17s
12. Second set of wheels (18" Tundra Alloy Wheels with worn out Michelin LTX 275/65/18s) - Sold to make room in the garage
13. Slee Off-Road Cross Drilled and Slotted High Performance Rotors by PowerStop

Small Issues:
1. A few scratches here and there but no rust and no dents
2. Truck was partially exposed in a hail storm and there are a few small hail dings on the back of the roof. You can only see them by climbing up on the roof.

Let me know if you have any questions. I will post pics shortly.

A few additional notes: Non-Smoker, no rips or tears in the leather, carpet is in very good shape (always used floor mats), no oil or other fluid leaks, diffs and t-case have Amsoil fluids, front and rear A/C, factory navigation with latest map disk from 2013, 6 Disk DVD Changer in center console. Other than the timing belt, this truck needs nothing.

I would love some feedback on my truck and the asking price. Let me know if I am in line or asking too much. Thanks.

I hate to say it but i've been trying to sell mine for half that price for over a year. I've come to the fact that my wife won't come down much lower and we are putting new tires on it today and we are going to keep it for a spare winter car.

Seems like a nice truck. The asking price may be a bit too high. From what I can tell you are asking over clean retail price. Just my rough guess, but I would expect an asking price of around $15k. I know you have modifications, but the value of those is different from person to person.

I think a few others have said it best. Seems a bit high for what it is. Very nice truck. At a lower price, I would be interested.

Looks like Kelley Blue Book has a stock truck valued at $15,500. Considering about $8000 in upgrades that are (hopefully) valuable to a Mud member, I will shoot for $17,500.

I think the big thing about the "$8k in mods" is that there's no bumpers, no winch, no lockers, no gears, no roof rack which are the spendy mods that most people want. Things like stereos and electronic mods are not nearly as desirable because everyone has their own idea of the right setup. I'd say you have about $1.5k in mods that most people would want to do which are the lift and the sliders. It's typically not reasonable to expect to get labor costs back on mods, so keep that in mind in your total you've spent out of pocket.

The other big thing that most people want to see done is the timing belt/water pump service since they know it's going to cost well over a grand at any respectable place. I think your $17.5k would be more reasonable if the service was already done.

Since the timing belt seems to be a concern to some I decided that I will have it done before the truck is sold. If I can't get it done before the sale I will take $800 off the price. That means the price with new timing belt is $17500 or $16700 with the current timing belt.
