I’m looking for a 2003 Land Cruiser repair manual (fsm) paper copy. I’ve seen some on eBay, but curious if there is somewhere else I can buy

Thanks

The 3 volume option on eBay is an authorized reprint- they are pretty good. I think I paid around $200 for all three books a few years ago. Sometimes you'll find them used but for model year specific- not always easy. The F R E E link to the online version of the 04 posted above will work 98% for your needs. Download and print off the sections if you need when working in the shop.

This link -- https://lc100e.github.io/manual/ -- to the genuine Toyota Factory Service Manual covers all years, all models -- takes a while to puzzle through the index to find things, then suggest print the sections you need for any job. Yes, it is good to acquire a hardcopy -- if you can find one -- usually comes in three or four volumes.

I was able to buy a four volume set on eBay for an 06 a few months ago. Two volumes were original and two were reprinted though sold as oem. Not sure that they were all oem. It was 299 for them all. In my opinion a fair price.

I would keep an eye on eBay, and be patient. I just got the 2 volume set, brand new, for $85.

Is this the same manual for the 1998 LX 470? Pretty sure the LX is a 100 series.

There are some good answers with which I agree by @jLB and @Moridinbg in this thread .....

If it helps, some history, technical specifications and pictures are shown at the links below and may illustrate the similarities between LC100 and LX470:

The LX470 was a luxury version of the LC100 with added features and a higher level of cabin trim but very similar underlying mechanicals to the top-of-line LC100. In any given year, there appears to have been only one model of the LX470 and included only the 2UZ-FE 4.7 litre V8 engine. The LC100 appeared in up to five variants with a range of two gasoline engines (including 2UZ-FE) and two diesel engines in some markets with many differences in fine details and trim across different markets. Specific differences may be seen in the Owner's Manuals at the links below (registration and login may be necessary:
