2002 VW Golf GLS TDI diesel auto. Black exterior, black cloth interior, cold A/C, hot heater, everything works great. No known mechanical issues. Trans shifts great, engine and turbo are super strong. It has every option available in a GLS with the exception of leather and the cold weather package. I have run Amsoil full synthetic oil in it since I got it with 48K on it and changed oil every 10K per spec. This car gets 40 MPG typically, but with someone who really watches their speeds, I've gotten 46 MPG. This is the ultimate commuter car but still fun to drive on the weekends. .

Recent service:
New 100K timing belt installed at 80K as per spec. I installed the full dieselgeek kit which includes all new rollers, new water pump, new bolts, etc.

New cabin filter at 85K

New air filter at 90K

New front tires installed last week. Rear tires still have lots of tread left.

Small dent in roof, it was there when I bought it. Slight crease in hood, it was there when I bought it.

Reason for selling, I'm tired of car payments and I just paid cash for a nice 4Runner.

I will also include a VAG Com cable. All you'd need to do is download the free software to a laptop and you're all set to tinker with all of the engine/car settings.

$13,000.00 located in Marlborough, CT. I can deliver it within 1000 miles for the price of fuel and a plane ticket back to Hartford, CT airport.

to the top. Someone needs 44 MPG to get to and from work!!

Good luck with the price bro...just a suggestion, 13K may be too steep. I had same year/color and ended up selling mine for $11,000. 1/2 the miles as yours, lowered, GTI wheels/tires, etc. This was in CA as well, where you cannot buy a TDI new.

Consider bringing the price point down a bit, and you should sell it quick. Unless of course you are strapped down by your loan.

Good luck man...they are excellent little cars. I observed as you did on mileage. My best tank yielded 845 miles...56mpg...also an auto trans.

thanks, got it on TDIclub as well. I have a little play room on the price.

I've been averaging 700 miles out of a tank, but if I drove it at 55-60, I'd get much better mileage.

That's good man...I'll blab around here as well, and back in Cali where I moved from. Home of serious commuting!
