Run don't walk. The guy is going to have to keep it. I agree, start looking for an 80 or 100 series Land Cruiser.
We said instead of dealing with crazies we can make a guaranteed clean deal cash today

But he said he will out the ad nationally and will sell in no time

Our search continues. I will have to check 100 series Lc what kind of rear space it has with no seats

Less than a Sequoia. I spent a lot of time looking at 100 series but wound up with a Sequoia. The 100 series has a better fit a finish and some options that are standard that are not in the Sequoia. I would imagine that if you were looking at a bare bones Taco those probably are not at the top of your priority list. The Sequoia has more room, gets better gas mileage, and is less expensive. It's really like a 3rd gen 4runner at 130%.

Takes about 2 minutes to remove the rear seats. They are about 50lb a piece and the middle row flips forward against the front seats.

Not a bad idea at all!
Thank you

Is there any years to stay away from ?any big things to know?

Also you wouldn't have a picture or measurement of length of stuff we can fit with second row pushed up ?
3rd row would def be removed

I could probably handle that. I'll have to find my tape measure.

I would get an 05-07. They got, I think, 40 extra hp with the additional of VVTi. They got an exterior facelift. Also got a 5 speed tranny instead of the 4. The one thing the 4 speed has going for it is that you can service it yourself. The 5 speed used the fancy WS "lifetime" fluid and no dip stick. Toyota can do a full fluid exchange for $300+. Most people just drain 3qts from the pan drain plug and then add more through the fill plug. This can also be a pain because it has to be running and fluid at 95 degrees or something like that. I would say this really depends on mileage and how it was used. A soccer mom mobile at 150k is good. I bought mine with 200k and I know the PO towed a trailer for his sons boy scout troop.

Thank you so much for the help and info. We really appreciate it!

They could also all possibly have a traction control module issue but this seems relegated to the first few years. The later ones have an updated module that doesn't seem to have the failure rate of early ones.

Also -04 had frame rot issues that were covered by a frame recall.

Try to stay away from the "Sport" air suspension 05+. It has air springs that eventually leak. They are great if they work but 300 bucks a piece to replace. I am looking right now to replace mine with standard springs or a lift.

JBL Stereo. Speakers need refoamed or replaced on a lot of them. Refoam is a pretty cheap do it yourself. Replacement of any component of the JBL system is a PITA. They all are set up to work together.

I only looked for an 05 or newer. I wanted a 4x4 SR5 with cloth interior and base stereo but that is very hard to find.

From tundrasolutions:

Narrowest point (between the wheel wells) is 4' 1" at the floor. Length from back of tumbled 2nd row to hatch is 6' 2" at the floor. If you fold down the backs of the 3rd row seats and the backs of the 2nd row seats and lay a sheet on top of the folded seats.....you get 7' 6" from the back of the driver's seat to the hatch.

Wow thank you so much
So essentially a 6 feet bed

Ok will tell her to search 05+

Ideally a base model sequoia with 4x4 is ideal for her
