I am selling my 2001 Black Lexus LX470. It has been a great truck for me, but I have little need for two vehicles right now and thus it is time to sell. Asking $11k, but happy to entertain reasonable offers!
Background: I am the fourth owner of this vehicle. It has seen little off-road time in its lifespan and has been a west coast vehicle (California --> Oregon --> Washington) from day one, so rust is not an issue. I bought the truck in early-2021 at 212k miles and have only put 20k miles onto it over four years.
The previous owner made some tasteful modifications:
- Swapped the head unit for a Sony XAV-AX100 (with CarPlay!)
- Added new amp and speakers to replace broken Mark Levinson unit
- Added sound deadener across the entire floor of the vehicle and inside all of the doors
- Replaced all interior lights and reverse lights with LEDs
- Mud flap delete
- WeatherTech floor mats
I've also done/had some work done:
- New front shocks and struts in 2024
- New rear brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake flush in 2021
- New front wheel bearings in 2021
- New door actuator motors in all doors in 2022
Some more details on the truck:
The good:
- Grey interior w/ heated bucket seats (Usually
beige with LX470s).
- Black Onyx exterior (the exteriors are usually a shade of
beige too)
- Optional 3rd row seats w/ rear A/C (I have them in storage and they're hardly ever used, in great shape)
- Timing belt done at the Lexus Dealer at 170k miles, current
mileage is ~232k.
The bad:
- Sunroof does not work and has a small drip in heavy rain.
- Bad paint on the hood, scratches, paint scuffs, some small dents on the exterior.
- Climate control temperature adjustment knob and volume knob are both wonky, but work if you just press in.
- Some of the leather on the front seats is starting to peel.
- In hot weather, the rear doors don't respond to the key fob when locking and unlocking
- Due for a valve cover gasket repair (I have the parts, just haven't done the repair)
- Ready for basic 20k service interval
- No jack
- E-brake pads worn thin
- Backup cam mount broken (currently just taped)
- Microphone mount broken
- Oil is freshly changed, but oil filter needs to be replaced.
