Would there be any reason for me to buy my mom's 2001 Accord back from the insurance company for $1600?

The car had 60,000 miles and I recently shortened the wheelbase quite a bit.:frown:

Here is what's left that I know is good:
All door gl***
Rear doors
Front Doors (Maybe)
All inside hardware
Trunk
Some motor parts-NO radiator, battery (1 week old :frown:), cooling fan or A/C condenser for sure...
Rear window
Tail lights
Rear suspension
Radio-6 disc changer/C***ette/Radio
All electronic controls
(4) Wheels (I know they are $180-$230 each)
Transmission-Maybe...
Side mirrors
Sun visors etc....

Is there any reason to hang on to it and part it out or use parts off of it or should I just let them have it....?

Here are some pictures....

What is your intention for the parts? Do you have another car to put them on?

Parting out a vehicle to sell off on eBay SUCKS. Total PITA. Waaay too much work, and too many deadbeats. You'll never get your money back. Plus, you'll have a bunch of car parts and a wrecked carcass sitting in your driveway for weeks.

I've done it twice, and only because I had to. It sucked.

Sounds like solid advice.... I was just considering parting it out but the voice of reason has quickly overtaken that notion. Thanks...

I thought about it and decided it would be a bad idea. Thanks for the advice.
