ok, so ive read many posts on doing the swap but the one thing i cant seem to find any info on is if its really necessary to use the factory locker ECU or can you just hard wire it to a switch and relay? I understand the risks of engaging it in correctly and the fail safes built into the ECU but has anyone done it with out? And for what its worth the locking diff was free out of a buddies wrecked 100 so as far as cost goes im doing pretty good.
