Hi, I noticed that the green headlight indicator and the orange airbag indicator lamps no longer turn on in the instrument cluster on my 2000 LX470 (airbag indicator with ignition on and headlight indicator with headlights on).

1. Are these lit with bulbs that can be replaced or is it more complicated?

Headlight indicator not really a concern as lights work but would be nice to know if airbags are functional.

2. If I hookup my code reader will it recognize a fault with airbag system without a warning lamp being lit?

thanks

On my 2001 LX 470 it looked like the bulbs are all replaceable the last time I had the cluster out. I recall seeing a couple of threads with the P/Ns for them on here if you do a search.

I don't think a standard OBD-II reader is going to pick up on SRS codes unless you have something made specifically for that. Do you have techstream? I haven't scanned for SRS codes with mine, but you'd probably have better luck with that.

This thread: LED instrument panel/gauge cluster post #157, details which bulbs go where. I also have an Excel sheet (attached) with a smaller list.
