So I snipped the A3 wire and wala no more DTR But now the high beam blue light in the cluster is on at all times unless the headlights are on Then it goes off unless i flip on the brights? How do I fix that issue? Did i do something wrong? everything else functions as intended?

Snip the red with white stripe wire from the parking brake...it's behind the lower dashboard panel on the driver's side. No DRL's and blue high beam light continues to work. ;)

CANCEL THAT:censor::doh:

That's what can happen when CRS strikes unexpectedly.

You need to cut the red wire with BLUE stripe connected to the main DRL relay. To even see the effer' remove the lower instrument panel on the driver's side. This will kill the DRL circuit, but leave the parking brake light function intact.

I hope to hell you haven't chopped anything yet. :mad:

Confirm what one please? And will this make it so I will not know if the parking break is on? That is fine I am just wondering to know what to expect. Thanks in advance!

You're welcome...see my edited post above.

Ok and no I have not chopped anything haha so red with blue stripe and to access that wire I have to remove the lower panel on driver side? So with this just out of curiosity you did still need to cut the a3 ground under the hood right? So a grand total of 2 wires need to be cut to perfectly complete this job, a3 under hood and red with blue stripe under dash? Thanks again ;)

No wires cut under the hood...

Separate subject...I did cut 2 wires behind the nav display to allow unit to accept input while the truck is in motion...there should be a FAQ for that. Schematic-wise, I don't see that having any affect on the DRL's.

Ok now before I cut or replace anything just one more time as a confirmation , under driver dash cut red with blue stripe and since I cut the ground under the hood a3 it should be ok to patch that back up and I should have solved my issue with just cutting the red with blue stripe under the dash? Thank you again for your advice!

You're welcome for the advice.

And you summarized perfectly what I did.

Ok few more questions since I see more than one red with blue stripe ... Is it the one that goes to the blue connector? In the pic? Also what are the other 2 plugs with the white and black connector they were not plugged into anything ...

Ok so update I was afraid to cut any wires under the dash so I did the next best thing I installed a switch under the hood to turn the dtr on or off (I will never then back on but if I have to I now have a somewhat factory looking button under the hood!) here is what it looks like it does not look too out if place! I can live with the high beam indicator light for now this is my best neat option! What do you guys think?

Bored in Miami traffic, I started poking around in the settings menu on my Dodge Charger rental car and found this handy option. That sure would make this easier.

Oh technology! LoL my Stone Age button will suffice for now haha! That's awesome tho!

Also I was wondering if anyone could let me know what resistor I can put in place to trick the system into thinking the dtr are on so that I can eliminate the high beam indicator? Not sure of this is feasible but it was a idea I came up with because I don't feel like cutting anymore wires! Because from what I understand the reason the high beam indicator is on is because there is no longer "resistance" on the line? Correct me if I am wrong?
