Life’s kinda been Murphy’s law lately and I have to get rid of my rig. I should have done this a month or so ago, but I was hoping it wouldn’t come down to it. Then the ignition lock cylinder broke a couple days back so it needs to be towed now. Part is en route and should be here around the 10th.
Aside from that mess and a driver door speaker that isn’t receiving power from the amp(both stock) the cruiser is in pretty awesome shape mechanically, structurally and electrically. Timing belt/water pump done at Lexus @176k along with trans flush when I bought it in summer of 2020.
Was a pavement princess in Marin passed from grandpa to mom to son until I bought it with the intention of turning it to an overland rig. Clean title, straight frame, mechanically sound, as previous owner replaced AHC globes, starter, heater t’s and the whole power steering system. $5k plus in receipts from him. Aesthetically mediocre when I got it, mediocre now after 29,743 hours of repainting, clear, wet sanding, compound and polish. All urethane 2k.
5 Yokohama Geolander H/T’s, Denso iridium Spark plugs and coils, M1 oil in engine, front and rear diff, amsoil in the transfer case, Toyota brake and AHC, M1 ATF in power steering, M1 grease in front koyo bearings and driveshaft grease points, EBC stage 6 rotors with hlue stuff in front and DBA-T3000 rotors and pads in back. All done since 8/2020 when I bought it. Rugged bound full roof rack, Rocky Road super sliders, morimoto LED high, low and low fogs, mud flap delete and tailgate conversion kit are the mods. All stock part’s in storage and will come with vehicle.
I’m leaving out some stuff I can’t recall at the moment. Feel free to ask for receipts, Carfax or anything else about it. I’m an open book.
I don’t even know what to ask on this. Before the ignition broke I was thinking listing for $17-18k. Now…I don’t know. Make me a reasonable offer in the next couple weeks and you will get a great vehicle that currently is immobilized from a broken $75 part.

1/14 UPDATE: The broken part was delivered, installed and works great. Vehicle is fully functional again, yay!
