I bought my 2000 Smoky Topaz Mica LX470 from a vendor here last year and, like so many, intended on making a sweet overlander out of her. A few life changes came around shortly after taking delivery and now I'm on a daily 150 mile commute to work, so I'm abandoning the overlander dream for the time being and moving into a more efficient commuter vehicle. The truck currently has just under 233,000 miles and will will go up another 800 or so in the next week until the new car comes in. As far as keys, I have one new key with remote transmitter, the valet key and the card key thing.

Overall the LX is in good condition. Lots of miles, but still runs incredible, cruising strong on the long commute every day. I took it to Florida on a road trip this past spring and had absolutely no issues. A/C is cold, heater is hot. My plan was also to replace the AHC with a small lift kit, but the AHC is still kicking so it didn't make sense to replace. One of the best things about this truck is the PO replaced the front seat leather with new aftermarket covers which are incredible. Looks like this was a family hauler in Florida for most of its life until last year and there are some random scuffs and scratches in the interior. The second row seats have the original leather and have usual wear of a back seat, but not . That being said, the underside is absolutely solid with no major rust that I could find anywhere. It currently has 18" Land Cruiser wheels and Bridgestone Dueler tires that have a lot of life in them. I also have the original 16" Lexus wheels with tires I'll include as well.

I did quite a bit of baselining and overall maintenance when I got it. TB / WP and a new steering rack was done by the PO at around 218,000 mi last year. I followed up with the following:

I also got a new battery from Advance Auto in October 2016 (I'm pretty sure it was October, date on the battery is 9/16).

Issues that still need attention:
  • CV boot replacement (one has a small tear)
  • Lower Ball Joint replacement
  • Drivers side exhaust manifold causes ticking until warmed up
  • Fog lights don't turn on
  • Horn doesn't sound
  • CD discs stuck
  • Leather on console cover is cracking

I have the CV boot kit that I'll be including with the LX as well as some other new maintenance items if the purchaser wants (i.e. I have 2+ cases of Mobil1 5w-30, several 90915-YZZD3 oil filters, a few bottles of Mobil1 gear oil, Royal Purple MaxATF, etc. )

Exterior: 6 out of 10. It'll show great, but has some random dings, chips and scratches that keep it from being perfect. Front bumper cover has some light scratches where one of the POs grazed something. Its very superficial, but just beyond buffing out and difficult to see unless you're looking for it. The rear bumper cover has a small gash on the drivers side and the bumper support is about a half inch lower on that side. My plan was to replace these with bumpers from Ben at Dissent, but again a project left on the table. As usual with the Smoky Topaz Mica paint, it had the spotting issue and was repainted through Lexus early on. Paint is ok now, but some areas like inside the door jambs still show some spots.

*** NOTE: I do have the Dissent Offroad front bumper with small stinger, led turn signals and 3x3 fog lights that I never installed that I'll make a deal on with the vehicle. :)

I took out the 3rd row seats and removed the side steps planning for sliders, but still have all that here that I'll include (and I'll reinstall the side steps if the new buyer wishes - personally I like the look without but I know it can be challenging for shorter people)

Feel free to PM me with any questions or if you want to talk and I'll provide my phone number. I'll be glad to work with anyone who wants to take a look or have a buddy come by to check it out. The truck is in Greensboro, North Carolina and I'm in Raleigh during the week.

Price: $6,900

Thanks,
Tom

Man, 10 message limit for newbies is tough... got it cleared out and PM's responded.

does anyone know if it's possible to easily swap out the color on the emblems - I think that would look great in black

im fapping.
