today I was on the freeway sitting in traffic and all of a sudden I press on the gass and it goes no where was able to roll over to the side of the road. Put it back in park and the lc keeps rolling so I had to pull the e brake. Now I put it on drive, reverse, and low gear and nothing. I checked under the car and don't see any linkage broken or loose. Did the transmission blow? It's. 2000 land cruiser with over 200k miles on it

Double check that your 4wd is not in neutral position. It needs to be in Hi.

Make sure you're in the Hi gears, then lock the center differential. If truck moves then most likely is a front cv axle has popped out of the front differential.

Flanges are on the outside of the hub where the front axle goes through to turn the front wheels. I bet that is it. Lock the diff and see if it moves. Or keep it as is and have someone get in and put it in gear while you look underneath (be careful) I bet you see front CV shaft spinning-that will be the stripped flange.

I searched around but can't find the picture for reference for you - check behind the wheel and see if you can see a gap between the hub and CV. If there is, the c-clip on the end of the axle may be slipped off. You can also remove the dust cap on the end of the hub and see if the c-clip is seated on the axle shaft or if it's off. It's happened to a couple of people.

Update went and locked the rear dif and put it on drive and reverse and the lc moved. I had one of my buddy's look at the driver side cv axle and put the car in reverse with ebrake on and the axle is just spinning didn't have time to pull the wheel off and check to see if the drive flange is stripped will do it tomorrow. My question now is is the drive flange a dealer only item or does autozone or local auto parts store should have it and is this a diy or take it to the shop fix.

Isn't it making an obvious noise in the hub with the drive shaft spinning in the splines?

Dealer part, you'll probably want a new c-clip as well. Check the splines on both the flange and the CV shaft, hopefully only one of them have ground off. If it's just the flange that needs replacing it's a 30 minute job - tire off, dust cap off, remove 6 12mm flange bolts, remove 6 tapered washers with your desired method, remove flange.
