Sold the 2000 TLC yesterday

If anyone is interested, I sold my 2000 Land Cruiser. Initially I priced it per Kelly Blue book at $21,900. It took three weeks and finally sold after I dropped the asking price down to $18,500 as recommended by Edmunds. I sold it for $18,000 to a guy who was buying it for his brother-in-law who lives in .....Mongolia! I googled for images of roads in Mongolia and there are basically no paved roads out there. I guess the Land Cruiser has found it's real home.

At the risk of preaching to the choir, when you say you sold it to the guy, he showed up and gave you cash? I am always leary of purchases involving foreign countries. As long as he didn't give you a cashier's check . . .especially for more than the amount agreed upon. (I know, Iknow, you probably know this but I guy in a Jeep forum I used to frequent almost got swindled this way until we alerted him.)

Thanks for the warning. We went to his bank the next day and watched while the certified check was prepared. The check cleared in two days.
