Last I heard Toyota will not sell just the uppers individually any more. To much liability for them getting pressed in wrong. If you want OE I believe you will have to buy a complete knuckle. I am sure you can get MOOG or other brands.

As far as do it yourself, they are pressed in, so you will need a ball joint tool or you will need to pull the arm and take it to a press.

If/ when that time comes I will price my OE options and most likely will end up springing for a set of tube UCAs and uniballs.

Biggest thing is to just make sure you get them in straight and fully seated and you should be good. I found a couple of write-ups last night while researching aftermarket UCA's, I will see if I can find the one I was looking at and link it.

Cool, thanks!!

Very welcome. Keep us posted on how it goes.

I just bought OEM UBJs about a month ago. They appear to still be for sale at the online dealers. Maybe some local dealers stopped selling them because of DIY yahoo types. Uppers are supposedly not as critical to use OEM as lowers.

Interesting, I am going to have to check into that. I was pretty sure that I was told that they were only selling them as a complete knuckle anymore, because of liability issues for selling to said DIY yahoo types. I will report back what I find out. I know a couple of parts slingers that might be able to clarify this.

Left side is put back together, right side is apart and I'll start putting back together tomorrow. I'm doing the Tundra brake upgrade also. I was able to a BFH to get the upper BJs out. Right side fought me hard.
