Hi all,Just picked up a 2000 4runner limited.want to replace tires. It has 265/70-16 on it (stock size)Want to put BFG AT one size bigger 265/75-16 or 275/70-16?Fitmemt problems? What size should I go with.It will be wife & kids DD.Also want to repace shocks, was thinking bilstiens.Have them on my 98 T100&are great.PS truck has 80k.Thanks,John

Both of those tire sizes should fit without problems. Maybe minor rubbing at full compression/articulation on the taller tire but I don't think so.

The Bilstein HD's would make a fine replacement shock.

I had the same year 4Runner and ran the 265/75 R16 BFG's with no problems.

I put bilsteins and 275/70/16 pirelli a/t's on my wifes 4 runner. The shocks were one of the best investments ever on that rig. Urethane swayabr bushings will be next , and should help the handling quite a bit too. The tires look great, and no rubbing, but i've had them balanced several times and they still shake a little. Not a good thing on the wife's rig. I hear about it a lot. But it's more likely a crappy tire issue. I have the same model tires on my plow truck and they shake a bit too.

Hi all,Got the BFG AT 265/75-16's.They look great&ride real smooth. It should keep the wife happy! Now about those shocks. Was thinking bilstiens. But now I am thinking a mini lift to clear those tires more. How about OME springs &shocks?

OME is a great budget lift for the 4runner. If you want to research this to death then go to Yotatech. Tons of 4runner stuff there.

Hey thanks,I checked out yotatech.Thats where I found out about the OME lifts.Been in touch with a guy at ARB& he is helping me find a good setup.Have a 93 FZJ80 w/ome 2.5" and it wheels &handles great!

I put 31X10.5R15's on my wife's 2000 4runner, totally stock. They rub at full turn, and sometimes under flex, but only on the mudflap bracket. Once they wear down a little, they shouldn't rub.

I have 285/75R16s on my 1999. I have a downey/bilstein lift on the back and adjustable sway a way coilovers on the front. It is a great look, handles well and I can only think of one time that I have rubbed (fully loaded on mountian trails)

Just put 4 265/75R16s on the wife's 99' 4Runner. Kumho 825 ATs. No rubbing at all, quiet up to about 65MPH, and 100% better than the Goodyear Wrangler ATs that came off of it.
