Very interesting on Ebay right now. I thought traction control replaced the rear locker on the 100 series in '00 and that it would have carried over to the 200 series.

Also with the OEM WINCH!! Check out the cool idle up button.

This just hurts that you can not go down to Toyota and order one like this in the USA. It is just crazy.

Wonder what the slot(?) is below the RSCA et al switches?

I have the same slot...why...who knows!

I agree it is sad that I cannot just order this locker setup!!

It is a pain that they don't offer options in all markets suck as lockers.

Just buy the 100/80 series front and rear locker switch for that spot and wire it in to ARB lockers, get your rear fitted now, and have the wiring in place for when the front locker comes out. Put a factory switch above it in the blank spot for the compressor.

It's to hold your fast pass cards and whatnot. There is another one on the driver's visor. Pointless...

Love the non-USA setup :)

You can now get the 4runner in the USA with a rear diff lock. Not a fully loaded model but a mid level model called trail edition.

.......

Does any 200 true competitor have lockers? (Other than G500)

Yeah, the LR3 and RRS can be specified with a rear locker, RR now comes with rear locker as standard - CDL is standard on all of them.

I don't understand why Toyota USA doesn't let you order them with lockers - does the US spec LX570 come with lockers?

Cheers!

Nope, it does not.

OK, this may be a stupid question so please excuse the noobness here...

...but why is a rear locker needed? Doesn't the CC system use ABS to grab the slipping wheel thus forcing 100% of the torque to the opposing wheel?

I guess I just answered my own question: while that method does work, it still does not provide power to BOTH wheels simultaneously, regardless of slippage.

So why then does Toyota not equip the supposedly most advanced 4x4 on the planet with lockers? Seems like they must have a reason...

I really do like the LR3 and the RR ALOT, but too bad their dependability is crap. When they work, they are fantastic...price is great too.

God, the overseas versions are nice!

Check out this video!
YouTube - TGS Land Cruiser 200 Series Video

They have the cargo cover too!

Active Height Control, Downhill Assist Control (ours have this? but only when Crawl Control is activated, right???), Suspension Adjustments, etc....

USA Toyota Land Cruisers use the 5.7 v8 and the same 9.5 inch rear diff from the 4.7 Tundra models. Overseas Land Cruiser come with 4.0, 4.7 gas and 4.5 diesel engine but the 5.7 is not available. Likely the differential form the diesel 4.5 is different from the gas engines.

The Land Cruiser pics that are displayed in this thread are from a 4.5 diesel with 5 speed manual. Those pics are stock photographs. The Land Cruiser for sale is not the same as those photos and is currently located in Turkey.

Anyone know what the switch to the left of the sideview mirror adjustment is for? It looks like a headlight icon to me. Is it for headlight adjustment? I had a euro-spec 928S that had a similar feature, if that's what it is. Just curious...?? :hhmm:

My first thought was the dashboard light....hmmmm

It's the headlamp adjustment.

So what does it do? Why do you need to adjust the headlights from inside???

Also, why would you need to idle up the engine? Is that a diesel thing?

Interesting things the Japanese create...hmmmmmm
