We bought a 2000 Toyota Tundra new. We keep our Toyota tundra in our garage when no use. It now has 50,000 miles on it. We are experiencing a brake vibration when braking the truck. It literally shakes the entire truck when it stops. We took it to our car dealer to have it looked at and discovered that in jan. 2008 a TSB was issued from Toyota to the dealer stating they are aware of this problem, (we have a copy of this) and it is a defect in the brake system but told the dealers to only fix the problem if the truck has under 39,000 miles. Out truck was over 35,000 before Toyota issued this TSB2004 bulletin.

Sounds like you have warped rotors.

If rotors were to warp in under 30,000 miles, something might be amiss.

If they warp at 50,000 miles, well, that's not all that unusual.

They might have had a batch of bad rotors that were warping pre-maturely. Doesn't sound like yours did.

Old news..... TSB was issued in late '02.......

I had rotor / brake issues with my 2000 almost right away. We bought it in Sep 99, and I believe it was in the shop by Nov. The dealer chased the problem until Toyota released a "new" rotor & pad combo.
